Description
This mod, based upon the fantastic "Build Roads Better", has been updated to the latest version of Imperator Rome (Marius 2.2).

So what does it do? In it, a new button called "Build Roads" is sited in the Tactical tab (on the lower left) in the province interface. If you have the money, you can click the new button, whereupon the province will construct a road network linking it to ALL of its neighbouring provinces (which costs 50 denarii per province). This saves you the hassle of linking everything up with armies, crisscrossing your vast empires again and again, ad nauseam.

It also has a brief -10% tax malus while construction is underway, but afterwards the province will have a permanent 10% supply limit bonus. Said modifiers work fine, and will appear alongside the other modifiers already in the base game (Procurators, Expanded Infrastructure, Expanded Trading Routes etc.).

Players can still build military roads if required; they remain unaffected by this mod.

Pre-existing roads ingame will not have the bonus to their supply limit; however simply clicking the Build Roads option for that province should fix that (-50 denarii of course).

NOTE: In order for the road to physically appear in-game, a road must be built in two connecting provinces (e.g. Rome and Lavinium). Otherwise, the road won't appear on its own (I think this is a game limitation, seen in the original game).

PS: As of 15/03/21, this mod is now fully compatible with Better UI; for those of you who don't use Better UI this mod will still work without any issues. To work with Better UI, place this mod BEFORE Better UI in the Mod Launcher.

Great concept however when i used the mod to a preexisting save and built roads in everyone of my provinces, i could not see on the map any visible signs of roads . Also, the road button in the tactical view was still available for me to build roads even though i had already done it once. Should this be the case and if so how do i know which provinces have had roads built and those still to be done? Many thanks

Great mod! It is pleasure to using it instead of babysiting your armies.
Actually when using with Better UI city panel now reverts to vanilla look.
Could you please fix this?

Is it supposed not to build roads to territories in another province? I use it on a territory that is bordering another province and it only build roads to territories within the province, but not the territories outside of it (even if I own both provinces).

It should yes! FMO's main (and only) incompatibility is the UI, which the patch fixes. Let me know if it has any problems.

Awesome, thanks! Am I correct in assuming that your FMO patch works with Terra Indomita too since it uses parts of FMO?

It still works. Also on Invictus. I recently made a patch for it to work with some other mods too (check my workshop).

Hope that a 2.0.4 update will come out soon. This mod will come in handy for me.
