Wooden Caboose - 1.0 Equipped - Canadian Pacific

Description
Introduction to the Canadian Pacific Wooden Caboose
Cabooses were a common sight on the ends of north american freight trains in the steam and early diesel eras, housing the conductor and train crew. The crew would use this car to cook, do paperwork, and sleep in. The elevated cupola allowed the crew to monitor their train and spot problems. The car was also used as storage for emergency equipment and tools.

This particular car is modelled after a real-world prototype, and includes all the functionality of the original. CP 436436 was built in 1913 and was in service until the early 1980s. The car continued on to carry passengers at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa, and is currently under restoration by the Bytown Railway Society.
