Lernaea's Energy Cannons Vol 2 (Weaponcore)

Description
Requires DarkStar's Weaponcore. Without all of his hard work on weaponcore, this mod would not be possible.

Volume 1 I wanted the vanilla feel. These are my take on what I would expect from Northrop Grumman / Lockheed Martin if they were to design energy weapons for space ships.

Adds 3 fixed dumbfire energy cannons and 6 energy turrets for small and large grid.

Cannons:
BF-101 Laser Cannon - Continuous wave energy cannon with 5 KM range and 6000 DPS for large grid, 3 KM range and 1200 DPS for small. 10% bonus to shields and 10% reduction to armor. Pinpoint accuracy but no splash damage.
BF-111 Plasma Cannon - Fires a fast moving projectile that explodes on impact. 8 KM range and 6000 DPS for large grid, 4.8 KM range and 1200 DPS for small. 10% bonus to non-armor blocks and 10% reduction to both shields and armor. Accurate long-range fixed artillery. The projectile travels at high speed, but it does have flight time. I'm hoping this offsets the strength of these.
BF-121 Plasma Repeater - Rapidly fires small projectiles that cause small explosions on impact. 2 KM range and 6000 DPS for large grid, 1.2 KM range and 1200 DPS for small. Fairly innaccurate but with the added splash damage, these shred through armor close in.

Turrets:
BT-301 Laser Cannon Turret - Continuous wave energy cannon turret with 5 KM range and 3000 DPS for large grid, 3 KM range and 600 DPS for small. 10% bonus to shields and 10% reduction to armor.
BT-311 Plasma Cannon Turret - Fires a fast moving projectile that explodes on impact. 8 KM range and 6000 DPS for large grid, 4.8 KM range and 1200 DPS for small. 10% bonus to non-armor blocks and 10% reduction to both shields and armor. These will not acquire targets within 1 KM (600 M for small). These are intended to be long range artillery turrets.
BT-321 Plasma Repeater Turret - Rapidly fires small projectiles that cause small explosions on impact. 2 KM range and 6000 DPS for large grid, 1.2 KM range and 1200 DPS for small.
BT-500 Series -Same variants as above, but with triple the barrels and DPS.

All emissives set to the color of the block. Just paint them to get the emissive color you want. You can use the battered armor skin set to 100% saturation and 7.5% value to get a nice matte gray box and keep the emissive colors. The scifi recolorable skin works to under 50% value and makes the box shiny black.

All ammo is available in 9 colors: red, blue, cyan, green, purple, orange, yellow, white, black. If you add these to a group you can add that group to your hotbar and cycle ammo to change colors. Colors change in the order listed above. I understand black doesn't make sense for lasers. I added it since I added the white. Call it void damage or whatever you want. RP how you choose.

All weapons require thrust components to build. I didn't feel like adding in custom components, but I wanted these to be geared more toward "endgame".

The sounds arent great for volume 2, just like volume 1. I don't really have the means to create decent sound effects, and I'm not going to pay for good ones for a hobby that I'm providing for free. If anyone is able to create custom sounds that fit these weapons I would be more than happy to add you as a contributor.

This is 99% custom built models that I made in my own style. I would love to hear what you guys think of them. I tried to add things that make sense, like the amplifiers on the fixed weapons and the heat pipes on all the barrels.

@Lernaea I'd be interested in taking over this mod if you have quit SE for now. I was looking for some B5 type weaponry (I do mostly Star Trek mods) and your fixed cannons in particular caught my eye. I couldn't seem to find a way to DM you.

I'm done with SE for the time being. This was mostly a personal mod i made for fun, but I'm glad some of you were able to enjoy it. I won't be taking this down, but I also will not be updating it. If anyone wants to take over, shoot me a DM and we can talk it over.

Tal, the color is based on the ammo that is loaded. you need to create a group with the guns you want to change the color for, add that group to your hotbar and set it to cycle ammo. Keep hitting the hotkey until you get the color you want.

Good turrets with nice rotation angle and speed, but I can't change the color of the beams. It keeps being red no matter what color of the block is. (I used BT-501, BT-511, BT-301, BT-311) When placed in toolbar and pressed "cycle ammo" the color is changing though but I need different turrets with different colors for esthetic effect and it will be difficult to do manually in such way.


Also the turrets placement does not correctly support symmetry mode. In this mode symmetrical turrets look in the same direction as placed.
