[IN] Imperial Cruiser Kit

This blueprint contains a sprite with all the modules needed to assemble most imperial navy cruiser classes.
To assemble your ship, separate the desired modules by cutting the pink blocks. Then copy the desired modules aiming at their red painted blocks, and paste them on the red painted blocks of the hull. If you add a lance weapon to the ship, make sure to recomplie the programable block called "Rotor Turret Control" when you are done. Ship has fully functional interior, no matter what configuration you choose (as long as you build it properly)




These vast ships of the line form the iron backbone of the Imperial battlefleets. Principal combat vessels designed to pound the enemy into flaming ruin, they are monolithic and awesome vessels only rarely found in the hands of the most wealthy and ambitious Rogue Traders. More maneouverable than a battleship and more powerful than an escort, they have the firepower, speed, and cargo space to be used for almost any sort of duty, including long void patrols, blockades, raids, and fleet engagements.

The most common of imperial cruisers is the Lunar class, with its mix of macrocannons, lances, and torpedo tubes. Several classes have risen from refitted Lunars, generally by exchanging the weapons loadout. This is the case of the Dictator, which started as a refit of damaged Lunars with launch bays; the Dominator, first designed as a nova cannon artillery ship, but that now shines as a heavy broadsider; the Gothic, with its macrocannons exchanged for additional lance turrets; and even the Armaggedon class of battlecruisers, which are augmented with battlecruiser grade plasma reactors and dorsal lance turrets.

Battlecruisers arise around M36 as a replacement of the aging and unreliable grand cruisers, prone to warp related failiures. Using a cruiser sized hull with much heavier power generators, battlecruisers mount more and more powerfull weapons than their lesser cousins. Such is the case of the Overlord, with its heavy plasma broadsides and dorsal lance turrets.

Due to being a vanilla build, the macrocannons and lances are both rocket weapons (lances being rotor turrets to look the part). A nova cannon was basically imposible to get at this size, and torpedoes would have to be rocket launchers too, or some script guided weapon. For simplicity sake i decided to have no torpedoes, but its fairly easy to fit them be it either modded weapon or rocket launcher. I dont discard making a proper torpedo prow at some point.

Generally i dont make disclaimers like this but in this case, note that i will take publishing a cruiser assembled from this without some major changes (like having been orkified or smth like that) as basically republishing, and will ask you to take it down. The whole point of this was to not flood the workshop with 8 identical ships, im not gonna let others do it for me :p.
