Artificialis - Ordovician Collection

Description
In the wake of our initial success, Project Artificialis is expanding its scope and looking to new eras in Earth’s history.

Our team is now working on recreating organisms from the Ordovician era, focusing on organisms from the Iapetus Ocean and the surrounding waterways 460 to 470 million years ago, where North America and Europe now exist today. The organisms from this era will require more advanced aquariums in order to provide for their specialized needs. Once you achieve a rank of 4 and you send enough observational data, we’ll start giving you access to the organisms your findings helped recreate.

Animals under study:
Ampyx nasutus
Astraspis desiderata
Brachyopterus stubblefieldi
Bumastus barriensis
Cyrtoceras minneapolis
Didymograptus artus
Endoceras giganteum
Favosites favosos
Glyptocrinus decadactylus
Grewingkia canadensis
Isotelus rex
Panderodus acostatus
Pentecopterus decorahensis
Symphosops armatus
Treptoceras duseri

Due to the large number of reef building animals included in this collection, we will not be providing additional scenery pieces.

Thank you for your partnership with Project Artificialis, our patented organism extrapolation and biofabrication processes would not be possible without your research and ongoing support.

Anomalocaris canadensis! :] 5 Jun, 2023 @ 6:47am
Hey, Tenth Architect, can you please do me a small favor and add in the Aegirocassis benmoulai? It would help me a lot.

Dinosaurs did not exist in the Ordovician, let alone amphibians or reptiles.

I might do it down the line, but most of the algae I found for the Paleozoic had extant species that looked very similar and were already represented in game or in mods. We'll see though, whenever I get ahead of schedule on my modding schedule I do random side projects and Paleozoic marine scenery could be a good one

Great update, I know I was manually sorting them by memory into themed tanks for my aquariums. I'm really happy you're still supporting this! Is there any chance that we'll see Paleozoic "plants" beyond stromatolites? It would be really cool to have tanks with (for example) all Ordivician themed scenery!

Just a small update, I've added era tags to all the animals in this mod pack. The tags are based on when the genus was found in the fossil record, except in the case of Grewingkia as it was meant to represent horn corals which were present up till the end of the Permian. The genus Grewingkia has only been found in the Ordovician as far as I am aware

Thank you! I'm quite a fan of jawless fish, they are fun to make and see in game
