Description
After a (rather ridiculous) discussion I decided to prove that a communiction system between players with ingame scripts is in fact possible. Or with other words: I'm gonna do an internet!

What this does
This unit is used to connect the client units to each other to allow communication between grids in the same antenna relay system.

Script Arguments
reset:
-resets ban and report lists (not fully implemented yet)
-resets registered data
-currently needed after server restart or client recompile

Purpose
-Proof of concept mostly, as multiplayer includes faction and private chat
-RPs for more immersion?

Planned Features
Note I'll only continue working on this if there is sufficient interest.
-Ban lists
-Direct messaging
-multiple server channels
-...?

This script uses WhipLash TextHelper class extracted with his permission out of his Turret Based Radar Script

@anzellott This is not how this works, this script doesn't work with the irl internet... I have a funny idea though, give me like a week or so.

Nope ingameApi doesn't have access to that.

yeah - wasn't suggesting you actually do it lol - and is a nice project for me to have a crack at while learning :-)

and yeah - Skallabjorn is one of the authors of the Survival Needs mod, and some relative speed mods that i keep meaning to try out, and a few hundred other things :-)
(trying not to focus too much on how this means we can now poop in SE :-P)

yeah I scrolling for clients is something I thought about however I'd need a queue and a sorted list that feeds the right info into the queue, which is a bit more than I thought necessary for something that is a demo. Also didn't know I've attracted royality with this joke. I guess I should take a look into your workshop Skallabjorn.
