Description
What this mod does:
Adds 20 recruitable skeletons, 5 new starts, and 4 new subraces for Skeletons. All 4 subraces are playable and can wear a full set of equipment. Vanilla Skeletons are untouched.

The new subraces are:

P5 Unit - The P5 Unit is an incremental improvement on the P4, which had significantly slower processors and less memory capacity. This one has the same chassis as the previous version, but it has a few more capabilities and less learning limitations as a result of the changes. These skeletons are specifically designed for more intellectual pursuits but also fair pretty well at manual labor as well.

Soldierbot MKII - The Soldierbot MKII is especially effective at combat, being specifically designed for that purpose. It is an incremental improvement over the original Soldierbot, which had significant programming flaws as well as a weaker chassis. This one has more armor plating and a few less weaknesses in it's learning routines.

Stealthbot - The Stealthbot is a highly modified Screamer MkI that has had it's chassis lightened and programming completely rewritten. It specializes in moving fast and silent to get into places it shouldn't be and do some things it shouldn't do. It isn't as stong as a Soldierbot, but it is quick and agile. You wouldn't want to send an army of these things to fight a head to head battle. But they can get in behind enemy lines and do some real damage with no problem.

Sniperbot - The Sniperbot variant of the standard skeleton design has the same chassis but has less armor plating and is therefore more agile and dextrous. Their programming has been specialized toward ranged combat. Making them excellent snipers. They are known for taking a shot and running quickly to another location to fire another shot. When cornered, they tend to be damaged very quickly though. So don't let them get cornered. But if they are, their skill with katanas and dodging will help them survive long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

A total of 20 new recruitable skeletons have been added to bars in The Hub, Shark, Black Desert City, Heft, and Flats Lagoon.

Four P5 Units in The Hub, five Soldierbot MKII's in Shark, three Stealthbots in Black Desert City, four sniperbots in Heft, and one of each of the new subraces in Flats Lagoon.

Five new starts have also been added so you can get started on your robot collection right away. For each start, you are a lone skeleton with enough money to recruit all of the new skeleton companions that are in that town and still have 1000 cats left over. You'll have to earn some more money before you can go to the other towns and recruit the ones there. The names of the new starts (in case you have a bunch of other starts with skeletons in the title) are: Skeletons at The Hub, Skeletons in Shark, Skeletons of Flats Lagoon, Skeletons of Heft, and Skeletons of the Black Desert.

I will possibly be adding more skeleton recruits to other cities where it makes sense. If you have any suggestions for good cities to put more recruits please comment below. Also, if you have any suggestions for new skeleton subraces to add just let me know.

The only vanilla files which were altered were the Skeletons race group (to add the new subraces to the skeletons race) and the five towns to just add the bar squads so the skeletons will go to the bar and hang out. As such, this shouldn't effect any other mods you might have that make the vanilla skeletons playable or whatever. Like my mod that just unlocks the vanilla subraces and does nothing else. You can find that HERE.

All constructive criticism is welcome. I'm still new to modding for Kenshi and if you know any ways to make my mods better I'm all ears.

V3 now has a new start called Skeleton Swarm. You start in Black Desert City with your main character, and 200 of the 4 upgraded skeleton units. It is just for a bit of fun so you can roleplay the skeleton takeover of the world if you want. All of the units start with a better equipment loadout than the ones you can recruit in the bars, but nothing SUPER powerful. I just found that you couldn't expect to survive very long even against moderately sized bases with the same equipment loadout as the recruits from the bars. It's still not very easy to survive against larger cities so you might want to hit the really small targets first and train up your skeletons just a bit more before heading into the cities. Have fun. This new content doesn't change anything that was in the mod already. It just adds a new start for giggles.

*Makes the max squad count 256 with max number of members also set to 256. Basically the 256 squad limit mod is included with this to make the Skeleton Swarm start possible.

Problems with animation, I have mods for animation, and so it seemed to me a good idea, and skeletons too.:steamthumbsup:

Very good mod. In my game the skeletons were invisible until I recruited one.

As for their average speed, I don't recall the values off hand. I am pretty sure I left that the same as the P4's that I copied them from so they will be a bit faster on average than humans. But I haven't ever fully trained any of them in athletics. I usually leave the p5's in the base doing things like research and laboring jobs. The sniperbots are the ones with the highest max run speed. But I can't remember the numbers off hand because it's been a while since I looked at them. I did increase their speed more than the vanilla skeletons I based them on though. So if you're looking for a runner type I'd suggest you go to Heft and recruit some sniperbots. I'm pretty sure they can easily reach that 39-41 mph goal.

The ones in The Hub are P5's. Are you on a new game or an existing save? If it's an existing save you might need to import to get them to show up. They'll likely be wandering around town most of the time. When you start a new game it takes a couple minutes for them to get to the open area by the bar from where they spawn, and they spawn together in a group of 4. They spawn in somewhere around the thieves guild building and walk from there towards the bar behind the buildings usually.

The stealthbots spawned in Black desert city, but for some reason none spawn in the hub. i originally had another recruitable skeleton mod (which i disabled), but they still don't show up. Do you have any recommendations?

Also, what is the max run speed of the skeletons? so far i notice they are a bit quicker than my humanoid characters. Ideally i'd to train them up on athetics so they can move 39-41 mph.
