[WOTC] Chosen Avenger Defense Revamped

Description
The Chosen Avenger Defense is an exploitable mission, not to mention a campaign boost because of the XP, loot and corpses received. The intent of this mod is to make the mission something not to look forward to, but to fear!

What this mod does?
Removes targeting against the tanks and power generator for the cannon. Instead you have to plant an explosive to destroy each of them. This forces the mission to become offensive, where advent is defending it's guns, instead of the other way around.

To plant the explosive on the tanks, move to the back of the tank where the arrow is pointing, there is a small device on the back. Stand next to that and proceed to plant as normal.

To plant the explosive on the power generator, move to highlighted tile with the arrow. Proceed to plant as normal.

Planting the explosive is a free action and will break concealment.

!WARNING! - the explosive device will detonate automatically at the end of the turn that it's planted. Be sure to move your troops out of the blast zone..

I just disabled this mod and loaded up the save to destroy the turrets + generators after i had killed all enemies.

I’m not sure how to help with this as I’ve never had it happen to me. This was a tough mod for me because it was the first time I’ve ever messed with maps. But I’m happy that I got it done because it makes the mission so much better. Maybe try the process of elimination and see if there’s another mod conflicting.

I'm having similar issues that others describe below, i cant plant any x4 or destroy the turret trucks, so i can't complete the mission. this is after wading through around 70+ enemies, including the primes from ABA, so to just be unable to complete the mission at all is a real letdown. i tried disabling 'one squad on avenger defense' mod, as thats the only other mod i have that changes the avenger defense in any way, still didn't work.

I cant seem to place the x4 charges on the tanks, theres the blue hologram but cant place the charges. I Originally didint have this mod active then added it and restarted but no difference. I did edit the number of soldiers I am aloud to bring on the mission so myaybe this is bugging the mods?

No problem, I wrote that I had problems with this mission in LWOTC, but thanks to this mod I managed to solve it and I wrote how. Perhaps this will be useful to someone. Thanks for the mod!

@asdron - I don't have a solution. Has to be a mod conflict or you are just not standing on the plant tile.

This mod helped me. After installation, I restarted the mission using the restartlevel command, after which it became possible to plant x4.

I don't know why anyone wants to use this mod in LWOTC, it's already been done that you need to put X4 everywhere, but the problem is that I can't put X4 in LWOTC. Nothing happens when I press the X4 install button. I tried with this mod too, for the sake of experimentation, nothing happens either. I do not know what to do. Objectives are not completed, the command “endbattle xcomwins true” leads to defeat.
