Thank you for the compliment, it means a lot to me! Sadly, I no longer actively play this game, hence why I haven't made any newer maps or updated this one. With the map editor, you can add customs and shape the terrain to your liking, possibly making the early gameplay less difficult. (And you all have my permission to tweak and republish this map!) Truth be told, I've never playtested this map for long. I just did what looked good to me, and I realize now that a lot of the difficulty comes with the mountainous terrain. I do think the best way to enjoy the map is using cheats of some form, like unlimited money, to better focus on the aesthetics of your city. Of course, using cheats is not enjoyable for everyone, I know that. And I'm sorry I couldn't be of much help in that regard.
