Description
*IMPORTANT NOTE- LOOK AT TOOLBAR GUIDE FOR CORRECT OPERATION*
*IMPORTANT NOTE 2- YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST 40 LARGE GRID BLOCKS RUNWAY FOR TAKEOFF ROLL*

The F/A-18F Super Hornet is a tandem-seat, twin-engine CATOBAR multirole fighter. Modified from the famous McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, it makes up the fighter backbone of the U.S. Navy. The Super Hornet features low radar cross section design, strike capability, and high manueverability. Over 600 F/A-18 Super Hornets of all types have been manufactured, and are in service with Australia and the United States.

This replica is painted as the flag aircraft of VAQ-131 Lancers Electronic Attack squadron, which is an EA-18G Growler. It is armed with 4x AIM-120 AMRAAM homing missiles, and 2x Mk 82 free-fall bombs. It features realistic (well, about as close as you can get to "realistic" in SE) aerodynamic performance and thrust-weight ratio.

Thanks to Alec/KDY, it also has a system that extends airbrakes, reverse thrust, and parachutes automatically for landing.

TOOLBAR-
1- Fire Missile (need target lock for fire-and-forget guidance)
2- Drop Bomb
3- Fold/Unfold Wings
4- Raise/Lower Landing Gear
5- Airbrake Open/Closed
6- Reverse Thrust On/Off
7- Parachute Open/Closed
8- Nav Lights On/Off
9- Antenna On/Off

TO TAKE OFF:
1. Taxi to takeoff position.
2. Turn off reverse thrust (6)
3. (If open) Close drag chute (7)
3. Increase to maximum thrust and pull up.
4. Retract landing gear (4)

I am having trouble spawning this in in creative - I am fairly certain I have all the mods installed in the world I am attempting it in, but when I hit "paste" I get that loading circle, then nothing

IDFK probably I tried to avoid them

Ah, are fighter squadrons treated like sports teams on carriers lol

I only say tophatters are better cause they're attached to my ship but I really don't like air dept. But thanks for the links

if you're lookin for a CVN on the workshop i'd recommend this one which is pretty nice https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2222884578

the CVN is made by KDY/Alec and probably won't be released, but a little birdie told me that PrimoSuperT is making a Nimitz (CVN-71) and that'll be out soon ;)

VFA-14 is cool lol, (the F-14 is the famous VFA-103 which has similar black colors), but this plane is actually based off of this (https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EGQdCZeVAAA48h1.jpg) which is a scheme my friend designed for the USN and they put on their plane
Reverend Revenant 8 Sep, 2020 @ 5:33pm
Did you build a CVN or is that off the workshop?
Reverend Revenant 8 Sep, 2020 @ 5:32pm
Tophatters are way better (VFA-14)
But that is a badass and high quality build

That link takes me back to this page lol, but if you mean the arrestor wire mod I'll be testing that out with my upcoming F-14, and if it works, updating this one to use it as well
