This mod adds Near-Earth Objects like moons, asteroids and space debris. Everything is visible and animated as an orbit on the world map mode. The moon is a playable biome that you need to discover and travel to using a rocket. Check out the Roadmap and subscribe to our Update thread so you don't miss out on any new content.











Because of how the fueling station spot gets placed, we had to make the actual size of the launchpad and the moon rocket different than the texture which makes this process a bit awkward. To select the rocket, you need to click the middle of the space ship. To select the launchpad you will need to click one tile to the left of the middle. This is where you fuel up the rocket.



We recommend using these mods:
- Save our Ship 2 to add the space environment on our planets. You can land the SoS2 ship on the moon. (Put RimNauts right under SoS2 in the mod order)
- My Little Planet will help with performance on the world map.

Known issues:
- Any mod that adds a custom biome might have our moon rocks spawn in them. You can check this in the terrain tab on the world map and then avoid those tiles.
- SRTS shuttles might not reach the moon (depends on the location of the moon on the world map)

There are no hard incompatibilities as far as we know.

I noticed RimNauts and Expanded floorings stone floors dont co-exist, you cannot use the stones added by RimNauts (maria and lunar highland) for the expanded flooring stone floors so I made a mod to add that capability. Could you make the animated asteroids usable, like, if we have some kind of scanner, we find an asteroid, in the same field as other asteroids, but these could have some stuff, like, stations, minerals, etc... For 1.3 too pls, it is a pretty good mod...

Will you add something like a starting scenario map, the moon? Either a crashed ship (SoS2), or Ancient Research Facility, or transport pods (Transport pods, like when you start normaly...)

Reading available comments, i'm excited for the idea of the return trip requiring some kind of work..perhaps one is supposed to harvest steel and simply build another launch pad. Either Rimefeller, or a few chemfuel deposits could work. World/map editors for those truly stuck with what to do with this mod atm.

Also, what do we find on the moon as stated before by others.. lucrative moon mining is an ok idea, but needs to perhaps be alongside a actual quest. Alien gene = tough pawns, less sleep? Lost Alien tech like some archotech equipment? ( like the endless generator or something ) Weapon Tech for earth's destruction.. found abandoned in what must be an unknown moon colony, perhaps of nazi or russian origin. Secret Nazi Space gene? Muhahaha

Keeping my eye on this one! Great Idea i have high hopes.
