FNS F-134 Class

Description
The F-134 (Tammi) Class submarine is a successor to the FNS Koivu class submarine. Leevi design bureau deemed that it was important to keep the submarine fleet up to the current standards and so they began the development of the F-134 class. The new sub would have over 3 times the displacement of the koivu class and feature many recently developed modern technologies.

However, the development stage lasted for too long and by the time the construction of the first sub was complete, the design was outdated. During early stages of development there had been too few blueprints of the sub made which resulted in unneccessary complexity and problems in the subs structure.

The final product has the vast majority of these problems solved and was accepted to service because developing a new submarine again was deemed too expensive and time consuming.
