This is a base built for the purpose of building a shielded teleportation network. There are minimal amenities and limited storage. What you do get is a base set up to manage the unique energy needs of the teleportation unit coupled with a shield. It is fully automated to manage the teleporter and shield in concert. When you need to leave at a moments notice, no need to throw a bunch of switches and knobs. You just jump on, follow the easy instructions and the base powers off everything but critical systems as you head off.

You do have the ability to switch into manual operation if you chose to operate with out the shield. This will considerably
extend the fuel consumption of the base but you open yourself up to attack. Your choice.
