Chaotic Jersey Colors

A simple mod adjusting the Jersey Colors of each Civ, so that all 4 variations are likely to roll.

Features include:

- Unique colors for each of the civs so that each leader doesn't repeat any primary colors (this is the case with leaders such as Gilgamesh or Wilhelmina)
- Updated minor civ colors, including a "neutral" scheme for Free Cities and Civ 5 style Barbarian colors.
- Adjusted "failback" colors (those picked when none of the four choices are available) so they don't look "ugly" and have white text instead of black in several cases.

Do you have a picture anywhere of what this mod changes the jerseys to? I'm trying to choose between several jersey mods at the moment.

Sadly, without access to the DLL (the source code), there's nothing I can do for the game to shuffle the colors naturally, you're reliant on the pre-built system that determines what player gets what colors based off the defined jersey colors.

@ fernando.porto "to eventually see them in game is to randomize the order of the jerseys, generate the conflicts AND THEN let the Firaxis jersey system resolve that" is there a way to do that if you could make a mod that does that I would be really happy that's what I want I want the player Jersey Colors to be random like the ais.

I like your mod but is there a way to increase the odds of the players alt Jersey Color to appear it works with the AIs but not the player.

@fernando.porto I never stated that the colors are random, I merely implied that the 2nd, 3rd or 4th colors have a chance to be picked.

Take the default Wilhelmina colors, they're all Orange of the same shade, so if you have another civ with that shade of Orange she will default to a failback because the game will never allow two civs to share the same primary color (along with certain color combos, like Gilgamesh and Jayavarman's primary colors).

Well, I tested the mod and in my 10+ times trying it, it did nothing but alter the color of the jerseys to the ones you determined, so I really don`t get what you mean by ALL 4 VARIATIONS ARE LIKELY TO ROLL. No, they are not. The primary jersey is always the same colors and it is always the first option to be picked. Nothing shuffles, nothing is random.

That would be golden! I remade the PlayerStandardColors.xml from scratch with new values in 7 gradations for each color, and added more tones (base colors), than I remade all the 4 jerseys combinations for each Civ. I have now zero conflicts at Alt1 level, wich means I will never see the Alt2 and Alt3 pairs that I made. I like so much all the 4 versions that I made that the ONLY option I have now to eventually see them in game is to randomize the order of the jerseys, generate the conflicts AND THEN let the Firaxis jersey system resolve that.

I`m not sure if I understand what your mod does, exactly, but if it is what I`m thinking, then it is PRECESELY what I need. Is your mod (apart from the changes you made in the rgb values) essentialy a RANDOMIZER of the ORDER of the jersey pairs? Like, Alt1 can become Alt3 or Alt2 can became the primary jersey? If it is, what`s the order of events? Does the randomization occur before AND THEN, after that ,the Firaxis jersey system itself takes place, replacing the jerseys with conflicting primary colors?

- The Primary Color (the grey) should technically be used in the Expanded City States (assuming that mod adds new types),but the city state specific color is unaffected by my mod. Are you having issues?

are the city state colors compatible with CIVITAS City States Expanded?
