Gatling Railguns (Avorion 2.x)

Description
Based on the example mod for gatling turrets, I've updated it to actually generate decent turrets. This should be more in-line with the current state of weapons in Avorion.

It's been updated to work only with Avorion 2.x and up. It's a minor code update to the weapon files, but it seems to make it incompatible with Avorion 1.x. I've uploaded the previous version to a different workshop file here.


Please note that any mods that add or modify turrets only do so as they are generated. This means any previously generated turrets or ships will not have new or updated turrets. It may also take a while for vendors to offer turrets as they hold their list of available turrets for some time.

Updated for Avorion 2.0 and up, including the beta. You can find a re-upload of the original 1.x version here

I've reduced the accuracy slightly and increased the cool down slightly. This should make them a little more balanced (newly generated ones at least). I'll revisit this some time after 2.0 is released and I get a chance to examine any changes to vanilla turret generation.

I'm sure I'll need to revisit everything after the 2.0 update of Avorion drops.

I can say that I certainly will work on updating all my stuff if needed!

So any updates, its gonna be balanced or its balanced already? 12km range sounds pretty OP if dmg its high.

not only would reduced accuracy be balanced, it'd be logical
railguns overheat fast
if you fire them hot, you're probably doing so with warped rails, leading to low accuracy.

Excellent, I'm glad it fixed both issues!

I was thinking about making them less accurate to make up for the high DPS and RoF. Let me know if you think that would help balance them out after you get further into your game.

Note: If I change stats, only newly generated turrets will reflect the change. Anything already in-game will remain with the old stats as they're saved into the turret at the time of generation.
