McDonnel Douglas DC-10-10 United Livery

Description
About the plane:

The DC-10 went into a full scale production in 1968. The last DC-10 rolled out of the Mcdonnel - Douglas factory in 1988.
It was the first wide - body trijet and it truly revolutionalised the aviation market laying the path for the future B-777. Some DC-10s are still used today for cargo operations as the last commercial flight took place in 2014.

About the creation:

The Stormworks version of this legendary trijet is the - 10 version. Here are some important things abot this creation:

Startup procedure:

Flight Engineer Panel:

1. Battery
2.Bus Ties - 1,2,3
3.Gen 1-6
4.Fuel Tank Feed - Left, Central and Right Tank
5.Heaters (Optional)

Overhead Panel:
1. Avionics - A and B
2.Nav - 1 and 2 ( wait 10 sec for the navigation system to align itself)
3.Eng 1 - 3 Ignition

Throttle Panel
1.Throttle - 20 (until the aircraft starts rolling forward)
2. Throttle - 15(when taxiing)
3. Press 1 for ground steering
4. Turn off ground steering when aligned with the runway
5.Full throttle for takeoff (150)

Landing:
1. Throttle 55 - 65 when on final approach
2. Gear Down
3. Keep the speed above 75 to avoid stall
4. When on the ground decrease throttle to idle (the thrust spoilers activate when throttle is below 10)
5.Engage the Brakes and Airbrake ( Airbrakes will automatically engage the variable brake as well)

Notable things about this creation:
1. The maximum fuel capacity of this plane is 55,000 , left and right fuel tanks hold 17,000 each and the central one holds 30,000.
2. For every 100km about 5,000 fuel would be missing on each of the 2 wing fuel tank. The central one will burn about 13-15,000 fuel.
3.Unlike most jet aircraft in this game this creation will require a more lengthy runway for both takeoff and landing.
4.I may build a KC-10 version in the future, so stay tuned.

Thanks for subscribing and remember to check the cargo door before takeoff (stupid DC-10 joke) :)
