Tintin Seaplane

This is the start of my series of vehicles from Tintin.

I love the Tintin cartoons and also really liked the 2011 animation film. In the book, The Crab with the Golden Claws, there is this small, ship launched scouting aircraft that is launched from the Karaboudjan to hunt down Tintin and Captain Haddock. The same plane also appears in the animation film. I really liked the look of this plane, so I decided to make it in Stormworks.
I made it primarily after the one from the cartoon, although I did take some inspiration from the one from the film, like the yellow struts holding up the wings.

Of course she is a seaplane, so she is supposed to be able to land on water. Sadly mine isn't able to. I tried many ways to actually make it float on water, but all attempts failed. (Unless making the pontoons huge, which takes away the design of the aircraft)
Other than that I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.



Takeoff:
1. Hold the start button and give it some power with the up arrow.
2. Slowly taxi out of the hangar to the runway with about 0.2-0.3 throttle.
3. When lined up to the runway, gently increase throttle so the plane accelerates slowly. This is important because the pontoons tend to hit the runway and make the plane flip over.
4. When you've reached a speed of about 40 m/s, gently flatten the plane so it is horizontal to the ground.
5. When horizontal, pull up slowly and you should be in the air.

Landing:
1. Line up with the runway and lower the throttle to about 0.45.
2. Keep the plane as horizontal as you can while landing to ensure the pontoons don't hit the runway.
3. Touch down and use the tailwheel to slow down.
4. When going slow enough, engage the brakes. (Go slow enough so you don't flip over)
