you've proven boredom is a great source of creativity.
Gotta say well done!
I hope you decide to roll it all into one mod (easier to subscribe :D) and edit the spawnrate/areas. This is definitely a cool set of mods.
Thanks for your hard work. And for sharing the fruits of your boredom :)

It's something I may look into if I get back into modding Starbound. A lot of people have requested all them combined into 1 mod as well. So if I ever combine everything into 1 mod, which would require editing the spawnrate file again, I might as well divide them into type categories and have each type spawn in the correct biomes. A lot of mods I make don't have a ton of thought behind them, just boredom and wanting to do something lol

I didn't really care for the idea of all your monster types being even across the board in spawn rates and places. A bit bland and predictable in my opion.
Also I don't like the idea of intentionally rare creatures like Fire Gleaps or Albino Poptops suddenly being common. I mean the point is they are rare. Makes it more exciting to catch them in capture pods. (I'm a collector kind of guy)
Though, that being said, I do kind of like the idea of Fire Gleaps showing up more near the core of planets... now I'm torn... lol
pretty impressive work though. gj

ah okay. I might take a pass... cool mod though.
I don't mind the prevalence of vanilla mobs as are.
Though I think your additions are pretty cool, what I think it'd be even cooler is if your creations were biome+planet type specific, with varying spawn rates dependent.
For example you could make Ice Gleaps common on cold and icy worlds, less common but still somewhat prevalent in ice cavern mini biomes and alpine biomes on whatever random worlds, and then occasional in say places like forest worlds all over simply because they get snowy weather there.

where other gleaps show up, same for all my other "More" mods

do these variants have specific biomes they live in? or just show up where ever gleaps show up?

I feel like some of the Gleaps (and maybe your other variances) shouldn't be so visible in the darkness because it looks kind of weird.

They don't glow like the fire Gleaps, they are just really visible in the darkness.
(Like the Glow Squid lol)

Intentional. I got tired of seeing the same monsters over and over and over and over. So I am adding new variants and changing the spawn rate evenly across them all. So if I add 3 more, which brings the variants to 5, I give each a 0.20 spawn weight, so when I am exploring planets, im not seeing 95% 1 variant and rarely some other variant
