Dugong, but a bit more badass.

Description
--Description--

The Dugong is inferior in alot of aspects in comparison to other classes of subs. Except for this new implementation of a Dugong designed to combat those flaws, which is a normal Dugong, but a bit more bad*ss. In what way ? Well mostly firepower, alot more of it in fact. Besides that engineers also somehow managed to cramp in a larger engine, which causes the sub to accelerate rather quickly to higher speeds, but in return it also burns off alot of fuel.
Anyways, Chuck Norris approves of this.

-ARMAMENT-
--Guns, Guns, Guns.. and More Guns...
  • Three railguns in total, two at the top fed by two loaders at the airlock (10 rounds total) and one railgun below at the belly of the sub fed by an array of horizontal loaders welded onto the belly, which can also serve as a sort of pseudo-spaced armour (5 rounds total)
  • Railgun: 1st stage ammo stowage [Top Right], 2nd stage ammo stowage [Bottom Left]

  • Four coilguns at each corner of the sub covering large angles
  • Coilgun: 1st stage ammo stowage [Top Left], 2nd stage ammo stowage [Bottom Right]

    --Auxilliary/Miscellanous Weapon Systems
  • Two electro-magnetic discharge coils on top of the submarine's airlocks
  • Four depth charge launchers spread out at the belly of the submarine with the right array having less dispersion than the left one // Corresponding loaders in each ballast tank [Left & Right]

    --Advantages & Disadvantages--

      --Advantages
    • Alot of firepower.. Very good for point defense or PVP
    • Low amount of "dead spots" for the array of guns & cannons
    • Four depth charge launchers, evenly spread, good when encountering hostile submarine wrecks
    • Quick acceleration/speed of the submarine(reactor monitoring \/ control system required)
    • Considerably higher than average hull strength(~+[2.0-1.5x])
    • Maximum speed of about 32 km/h

      --Disadvantages
    • Longer than average reload times(especially the bottom railgun)
    • Alot of fuel burn as mentioned in the description
    • The reactor likes to catch fire quickly without enough caution as well as attention
    • Relatively limited storage capacities
    • A very cramped and compact overall layout
    • Quick flooding & damage accumulation in the case of a hull breach, due to the compact nature of the submarine
    • Shorter operational ranges without any reactor efficiency upgrades
    • Small ballast tanks ==> low diving speeds (combined with powerful engines will cause collisions in the hands of an inexpirienced captain)
    • High costs to maintain/supply the submarine at the beginning
    • There are railgun shells right next to the nuclear reactor..

    -Tips-
    • Always have some spare fuel in reserve
    • Keep a close eye on the supercapacitors
    • Try to prioritise defending the command & control compartment, this thing is kind of a glass cannon and you'll need firepower to stand as your wall inbetween you and the enemy
    • If the situation is desperate or you're just feeling like a bad*ss you can ram the submarine's nose into something to squash enemies clinging onto it or atleast remove them from the nose. A flat nose as well as a high top speed/acceleration also makes it all the more ideal for a ramming manoeuvre, just prepare to weld shut a big ol' hole there

    // FILE NOTES
    • The submarine now is compatible and rebalanced with the upgrade system
    • The submarine is now compatible with the New Frontiers Update
