I like Left 4 Dead but I would like it a lot more if it was more serious, darker, and less comedic. I think it's easy to mod the game, just not setup the best way for replacing audio.

Actually, now that I remember... I had the same issue replacing the two concert tracks. The volume was too low and the script didn't help. There might be certain songs that will play loud enough but it's trial and error trying different albums. It was a real pain doing the menu music and jukebox as well. If you download my "Outlaw Star Victory Room Music" addon, you can see I accomplished raising the volume for that with a script. The game had that audio file playing at a lower volume than max.

Anyway, that's cool you went all out with the posters and stuff. L4D2 audio modding is a pain in the ass because of the volume issue. Sometimes it can be fixed/tweaked, other times it can't. I was planning on replacing all the music in the game with real horror soundtrack music that would have really improved the game and made it more serious and possibly even slightly scary. I definitely will be experimenting with Left 4 Dead 3 if it ever comes out.

As far as I know, the only way to fix low-volume is to make a simple script with the addon that tells the game to play those track(s) at max volume. Problem is, sometimes they are already set to max volume, so it might not even do anything. There were a lot of tracks I could not even use when replacing jukebox, concert, and main menu music.

Mr. Bungle would've been a nice fit for Dark Carnival. It's too bad you lost interest. Anyway, it's a neat mod! I'm happy someone did this. You have good taste! :D

Thanks. I was saving Faith No More to see if they would work well replacing the concert tracks, and also Mr. Bungle for certain audio tracks on the Dark Carnival map. I never got around to it and lost interest in playing, though.

I'm glad to see someone made a Mike Patton mod seeing as he voices the majority of the infected in this game:)
