Today I present to you the greatest Russian Space Station to ever orbit the Earth!

(Yes, I finally built it!)

Mir - Space Station

The Mir Space Station (core) was launched in 1986 by the USSR and would become the first modular space station ever created. It was designed to replace the Salyut Program (a series of single module stations) that had been launched during the previous decade (and into the 1980s). Like the previous stations Mir was an orbiting laboratory and conducted many science experiments over the next few decades. The station was made up of six modules, plus a docking adaptor which enabled the US Space Shuttle to dock at the station. After the fall of the Soviet Union Mir became and Russian space station and allowed docking for the space shuttle.

How TO USE

I should like to quickly state that although the outside is mostly accurate, the inside isn't particularly accurate by any means. I took some artistic liberties when creating the inside.

To enter the space station simply open the hatch on either the Kvant-2 module or Kristall module. Then you can explore the station to your heart's content.

If you wish to pilot a Soyuz:

Press Num4 on keyboard to unlock and 5 to dock to space station.

To Separate the Soyuz Orbit Module press 8 and to separate service module press 9

Additional

The Core Mir Module was developed from the latest Saylut station designs, whilst the rest of the modules were developed from the service module of the TKS Spacecraft (Excluding Kvant-2 and Shuttle Docking Port). During its time in orbit Mir was the largest man made object to orbit the Earth until it was surpassed by the International Space Station .

During Mir's lifetime in space it suffered from a few major accidents. One of theses was a fire that broke out in a chemical oxygen generator on the station which burned for over a minute, filling the station in smoke. Another major incident was when a Progress Spacecraft (a cargo Soyuz) hit the Spektr Module when testing out the TORU manual docking system. They were testing this as the automatic docking system (Kurs) was causing problems when docking and was very expensive to replace.

To the end of the stations life it had begun to fall apart as well as having mould problems (which I can say from personal experience is not very nice). On March 23rd 2001 it rentered the Earth's atmosphere over the South Pacific.

Enjoy!

Otherwise, it is not a replica, but a layout.

Also you need make those solar panels smart by script.

Not bad replica comrad, but i think will be better if you will write scripts in next for those space stations. It needed for full replication especially if we talk about the Buran ship, whose automation is a key feature..
