(SFO) Dark Elves Military – Stronger Citizens Units

Description
Descendants of proud Naggarythians, who fought countless waves of daemons, and then almost destroyed Ulthuan in a bloody civil war, arrogant and ruthless warriors, fighting for survival in the cold north, for whom the enemy on the battlefield is a threat, as is the betrayal of their compatriots. Druchii.

Unlike their cousins, you won't find builders, artists or craftsmen among them, that’s what slaves are for. Dark elves know only one occupation: the art of warfare.

I’ve buffed stats of Bleakswords and Dreadspears to represent that. They are by no means overpowered, but you should now feel a little more confident in melee combat. They are stronger in SFO than in vanilla, however High Elves received a couple of really strong units like Silverin guard or Rangers and I‘ve felt that Druchii were left a little behind. Here are the changes:

- Dreadspears recived high elves spearmen animation. At last, they look like a disciplined soldiers
- Both units have strong vigour now, they should tire a lot less than before. Every dark elf experiences a lot of combat from the very young age and It’s even difficult to survive in Naggaroth. Cold, monsters, common duels – It all makes you strong
- Bleakswords have higher bonus versus infantry, attack and defence
- Dreadspears have higher defence
- No changes to Darkshards, I think they are accurate

Mod is designed for SFO, It should be compatible with every submod, which doesn’t alter the same things. Enjoy!

Great work, don't take it the wrong way, i love what you did here and im frustrated that i cannot use it. It literally feels that this is what the DE really needed to actualy have proper invasions from the lack of Global Replenishment, since let'be honest Black arks coastal fights could get you so far. untill you are out of their reach, and the only thing remaining to hold the ground and the bleakswords and dreadspears.

Props to you man, hope you will return, and weather or not u will, i thank you for creating such a great idea and mod. My only regret is that i wasnt able to try it out and i found out about it too late.

Stumbled on this mod by pure accident, and i fell in love with the premise of it.. Sadly for me it crashes the game before it starts.. Not sure if it needs to be updated since SFO last update was in 2023. Or mabye I am wrong if anybody here can confirm if this mod still works or crashes, that way i could try to figure what is causing it. Until then hopefully a subscriber would come with a conclusion or the author ca help in maintaining the mod.

@PandalsAPotato good point. I've already updated mod with this, take a look in game. DE deserve to have a resilent frontline, HE can compensate that with many ways. I'm thinking of making bleakswords and dreadspears a little bit more expensive (like 100-200) to match their stats. You will still get them earlier than silverin guard

@darius.rose123 maybe in the future, yes. Thanks for kind words. Currently, I'm kinda satisfied with how this elite units are represented in SFO, things like Executioners, Blackguard, Phoenix Guard and Swordmasters are one of the best units in enitre mod

If I recall correctly they get 10 armor through tech so I'd consider raising their default armor to 70, very small buff that with tech brings them up to 80. Just shy of what Silverin Guard are at, at 65 armor even being silver shielded they're rather weak against missile fire as the non-AP values add up quickly. Probably my biggest complaint about DEs is having a front line that dissolves under missiles.

Maybe making the Dark Elves and High Elves overall more elite like the lore. Such maybe like making High Elf Spearmen have an average unit of 80 with better stats. Or make the armies like the Skaven or and Greenskins more numerous per unit. Great mod dude, hope you do more.

Thanks a lot, that was my motivation too :> High Elves already have many battle tools, Druchii needed a little bit more on aggressive side

Yesterday i play a campaign with Malekith und i thought it would be good if the standard units are a little bit stronger. HE are really in better shape. More flexible and with better defense. DE play more agressive but i think their frontline should perform better. So, thanks for youre mod :D
