-- Gameplay --

Hazel is primarily a trapping zoner with a few grappling and zone breaking tools and a lot of quirks thrown in. Most of her moves are a bit laggy or hard to sweetspot with, but she can use her structures and tilts to keep opponents where she wants them.

-- Structures --

Wall - platform. projectile immune. takes a few hits
Bomb - explodes when destroyed (unless salvaged with DSPECIAL)
Turret - fires bullets that stun enemies already in hitstun. also fires piercing, paralyzing lasers

-- Known Bugs --

wavelanding on walls is messed up
explosions are weird
dair very rarely removes the victim's hurtbox (pretty serious bug. if you can consistently replicate this, please let me know)

Yeah that's fair. I have some ideas for balancing and new moves but I've been busy with other stuff

There's a few problems, the wall cannot stop projectiles, too low mana to do any setups, the mana shield gets thrown too far away to reach, the turrets does peanut damage and has like no HP to stand against any attacks and the fact that you have to make a huge setup for a small damage is disappointing.

@amateurhour yeah, i think i just said that bc of the clothing and the sentry, still pretty cool and the moveset is quite complex when you look at anything else in the workshop of rivals of aether

@bob well they are both engineers... I think if you played both characters you would see that they are quite different

this looks way too much like the engineer from tf2

@grimm thanks for the feedback! Just put out a patch that is a step toward fixing the stuff you mentioned. Glad you're enjoying OSFE!

My only other thing is I think her structures could use some destruction effects, like a crumpling animation and a crackling sound to indicate that they've been destroyed. All in all though, very well put together!

This inspired me to pick up OSFE - amazing game, thank you! It's probably gonna become one of my most-played Switch titles.

In relation to Hazel, I really love all the wrench moves you came up with, she's super unique. I do feel like her structures might be a little too easy to just delete though for how integral they are to her kit.
