It wasn't easy. But of course, the instruments and voices didn't sound like the original. Instead of the chorus that sings that famous title line, I used a flute-like sound, etc. But it came close to the original and I thought it was pretty good.

@Chane - I'm very impressed. I would think that would be quite a complicated piece to adapt to that hardware and using the electronic music tools of that era, especially Morricone's use of vocal effects as pseudo-instruments.

Playing that music in a race is awesome!
I developed a demo for the C64 in 1987/1988 using that song.
I sent the demo to a computer magazine that had run a competition but unfortunately didn't win.
I remember developing that song in assembler, directly controlling the SID, the C64 sound chip. Those were good times.

This may also be helpful - Some cars get spun out near the start going through the parking lot fence. To avoid that, the moment before hitting the fence, tap the brake. That'll keep the car planted upon impact, then you can punch the accelerator.
