Description
[Vanilla|Creative]

Check out the extreme version here.

Ever wanted to build a big minefield, but gave up because it was too boring? Now you can just spawn one in. The blueprint is completely vanilla and the warheads already armed. Just paste it in. The best part? It's a single grid. You can delete it again, if you misplaced it, you can recolor all blocks at once, or set off all warheads at once. How are they held together you ask? By sheer power of will (and maybe a little bit of exploiting ;)

As soon as you remove any block (destroyed or deleted), every warhead will turn into its own grid. This will lag the game once for a few frames, so you might want to remove a warhead and split them up before you throw ships at it.

The blueprint is a station by default, but you can change it to a ship after pasting it in. It will remain a single grid until a block goes missing btw.

I generated the blueprint directly as a file with some code to make it completely random.
The patterns on the screenshots are from an earlier, not quite as random version.

Some stats:
-Warheads: 1,000
-PCU: 100,000
-Size: ~ (375 m)³

Please make a version of this that you can make in survival

Imagine being able to spawn this from a ship's cockpit via projector with nanobots or something
"button press: instant mine field" (running bigger explosions + nuclear weapons to enhance warhead damage/radius/damage to shields might be a bonus too)

I don't think it allows you. Pretty sure you can only weld blocks that are directly attached to something that's already there.

Can you weld this on thin air in space on survival?

You are a man of focus, commitment, and sheer f*ckin will.

Would it be possible to get a smaller version such as only around 100 mines? I love the concept and want to use this in some scenarios but 1000 mines is probably too many for my pc :c

@Triggson well I'm pretty sure its impossible to build in survival as you cannot paste it in, but yeah
