Use an army of beautiful mosaic pixel tiles against another player in a 3 actions per turn based strategy game, and be the sole ruling Monarch of the lands!

War reigns, and you are one of many "rightful" sovereigns fighting for control. Be ready to capture the battle in mosaic tiles, as you lead an army against a rival Monarch, and crush them in a casual but tactical 1v1.

You MUST use 3 actions per turn (and only 3 that turn), so make sure you make your moves count. The game is a homage to those who like classics like chess and battleship. Information is key in this game, and it will inform your decision knowing what cards are on the board.

For those who like a bit of strategy or tactics with a friend, this game is easy to pick up. Every action you take has its benefits and risks, and though the gameplay is simple, once you learn the rules and get a few games in, moves will come quite naturally to you, and you will come up with new and creative strategies to win.


Each monarch you choose has different stats, a unique ability and attack pattern that suits different styles of play. You can pick a favourite, or try diversify.

Battlecide has been in development for over 15 years.
⦿Late 2000s: Child me designed a version of Battlecide, very similar to the one I have now... but less balanced.
⦿2017: Official reinvestment into designing this game as an adult on cardboard testing with a few friends.
⦿2019: I eventually decided to upload a first trial on Tabletop Simulator.
