Located on Rhone river, Massongex bridge is one of notable structures along the Simplon line. Original bridge was built as a single lane in 1903 and second one built on parallel in 1923. In 2015, Swiss Federal Company decided to remove old bridge duo and built a new one scratch, as old duo was ballastless and imcompatible with larger (and heavier trains). As Simplon line is one of the most active routes of Switzerland; the new bridge was built next to old ones and it was shifted over old couple, then connected to the rest of the network.

Constructed as 'bow-string' (arch), project was completed in 2017; and in service since march 2017. It is the largest metal train bridge of the Switzerland, and became one of the signature structures spotted on Simplon Route.

this one is supposed to be used as low-pass over rivers. so maximum height is 10m-ish for embankments on each side. I already made high level passes, so i needed a low-level one (and real one is low-pass as well).

You can terraform around the embankments as i did in the pictures. Essentially you'd drag bridges on your high terrain, then terraform around them. This works obviously when you have 1 arch as entire bridge.

Love these bridges mate, just a question how can I fix it when the bridges are high. I had to cross over a highway and over a track which when over that. Therefore the pillars looked out of place. Any tips?

Hi. Pardon my ignorance, but it says "part of railway project". So can this be used by itself or must I do something with the railway project (i.e. subscribe to items etc).? Thanks.

Great job !!
It's nice to see that bridge in skyline cities. I live a few miles from this one. Would there be the possibility to convert this bridge and some other projects (props, not vehicles) for Transport Fever 2? We don’t have many Swiss props on Transport Fever 2. This would enrich the Swiss section of the game.
