Description
Adds the Ashanti led by Osei Tutu I, the first Asantehene, assisted by his chief priest, Okomfo Anokye.

Ashanti
Sika Dwa Kofi
  • During a Golden Age receive a +5% bonus towards Culture and Faith per City-State you are Suzerain to.
  • +2 Culture, Faith, and Gold from Trade Routes to City-States
  • +1 Trade Route Capacity for each different city-state type you are suzerain to.

Asafo (Replaces Line Infantry)
  • Cheaper to build and maintain (300 vs. 360 / 3 vs. 5)
  • 2x flanking bonus.
  • +5 Combat Strength while in formation.

Abosomfie (Replaces Shrine)
  • Costs 50 Production but 2 Maintenance.
  • +2 Faith and +2 Loyalty. Faith and Loyalty bonus extends to each City Center within 6 tiles of the Abosomfie.
  • Additional Citizen slot.

Osei Tutu I
The First Asantehene
  • Military Units gain +5% combat experience per City State you are suzerain of.
  • Has access to the unique Governor, Anokye, The Akomfo.

Unifier
  • Likes Civilizations on his home continent who don't compete for City-States. Dislikes neighboring civilizations who befriend City-States.

Kumasi is replaced by Abomey, capital of Dahomey. The bonus remains the same.

For some reason, while all other Merrick civs seem to be working with Historical Spawn Dates, this one is not. I don't mean just that it doesn't have a spawn date, as those can be added manually or in the files. I mean that it gives the mod conflict "some mods failed to load correctly" error. I'm not a modder and probably won't be able to figure out why, but I'm posting this in case it's helpful to anyone else. Also, this *used* to work with Historical Spawn Dates just fine, so perhaps some update somewhere along the line has caused the new problem.

You also gain no era points when building the unique unit.

Hello! The mod looks really good and the civ is really interesting, but when I started the game, the shrine wasn't replaced by the new building. Maybe there is a problem?

It's quite simple actually, it seems to have some problems with this part in the Ashanti_GameText.xml:

<Row Tag="LOC_COMBAT_PREVIEW_NEIGHBOR_COMBAT_BONUS_DESC" Language="en_US">
<Text>+10 [ICON_Strength] Combat Strength from nearby Capital.</Text>
</Row>

After removing it, everything is displayed correctly again.

I think it needs some fixing. The city names are...wonky.
