-WHAT IS X.C.O.M-

Xtra Class Outside Mods is a series of mods I plan to release for both vanilla and WOTC XCOM2 and consist of soldier classes for the player to use. They will use no external assets apart from a simple class logo to ensure maximum compatibility with the base game files and those of other mods as well. The aim of the series is to add classes within XCOM 2 to give players variety within a very confined system, the soldiers will feel the same and use the same weapons and abilities however there will be more variation to said soldiers. Melee Snipers, Assault Medics, Grenadiers with Gremlins and more to give the game more vanilla flavouring. Each new class will have their own name, nicknames, progression speed, fluffy lore, short comings which need to be compensated and many roles to play on the field of battle. No 'One man/woman/alien' army soldiers. That wouldn't be XCOM now would it?

@Californiadreaming Okeedokee

1. Go to your main steam folder, then click on steamapps>workshop>content

2. Find your Xcom mod folder, mine is labelled as 268500, your number maybe different

3. Find the '5 in 1' mod, among the....300 folders in your case
(Tip:Unsubscribe then resubscribe to the mod, then sort by date modified :) )

4. Go to config then XComClassData

5. Scroll down to the 'Scavenger' section then stick v v v v v v v v v v v v

+AllowedWeapons=(SlotType=eInvSlot_PrimaryWeapon, WeaponType="shotgun")

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^

In the main set of code lines

6. Save the changes then your all set :)

@Californiadreaming

...Having my class use a bullpup is from a fluff (lore) perspective, It would not require an outside mod to alter

Hell I can even show you how to alter it yourself, it's literally just a text edit. Whaddya say?

It wouldnt take any effort to do :)

I'm running about 300 mods and I don't think any of them deals with bullpups specifically. If I get to vote on it, I'd say the scavenger should get the shotgun, bullpup, and SMG (but I know that's an outside mod and you're avoiding those) as options. I do think giving a bit of choice is a good thing, especially to allow for mod weapons. This is a great mod though.

@Californiadreaming

Hmmm, the scavenger is only allowed the Bullpup (Skirmisher weapon), not an assault rifle, so two suggestions I can think of rn:

1. Download a mod that gives you a Bullpup type weapon to use from the start
OR
2. I can help you gives him access to an assault rifle

I've been using this mod and I am generally loving it. The Scavenger has a problem however. In Loadout, no other weapons appear for the assault rifle. I have a couple of different models of assault rifles that I use, and they don't show up. They can only have the rifle the are originally equipped with. I hope you can fix that, because this is a very good mod.

@Ashley Heckfire

If that is the full list then it’s gotta be something to do with the mod installation as none of my classes are showing up which is worrying, whenever I load just the collection on its own then the classes appear.

Strange...re-install the mod and see if it works, if not then let me know
