Joking aside, I like the climactic feel of this stage. Like, you've travelled across the whole mansion and now you're finally here to fight her, Remilia (or any other character you select on the character select screen).
There's also a lot of small details that are really nice. Such as the purple glow around the rim of the clock. Or the clock hands pointing to 11:05 PM, which while I assume is there for visual purposes so they're visible on screen, could also signal how close it is to midnight and thus the finale.
Overall, the atmosphere is very intense and very good.
This just isn't true. The pixel art looks great!
