Douglas C-47 Skytrain (1:1)

Description

This is my 1:1 scale Stormworks rendition of the Douglas C-47 Skytrain. I put lot of effort into making the exterior of it look as authentic as possible to the real life counterpart, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. My goal was making it look as realistic as possible, while still having a lot of playability. It's cockpit is built using photos of the real C-47 cockpit, and is about 75% authentic in terms of looks and gauge placement. I managed to fit in most of the buttons that are present on the real life counterpart's overhead panel, but due to Stormworks restrictions I couldn't replicate the overhead panel placement. Since my goal was keeping it simple and easy to use, I've simplified It's control and flight systems. I've also added some touches of my own to It's interior.

I sincerely hope you enjoy playing with this aircraft as much as I enjoyed building it.

    Startup Procedure

    1. Enter the cockpit, either through the rear doors or the front door located on the left side of the fuselage (next to the left engine.)

    2. Flip the master battery switch.

    3. Toggle the cockpit backlights and cockpit lights if needed.

    4. Toggle both boost pumps and move the mixture lever to at least 0.25.

    5. Move the engine power lever to at least 0.15.

    6. Toggle the propeller feathering control buttons: they lower propeller collective to ensure that the aircraft won't start moving.

    7. Toggle both ignition switches and leave them on. After that, toggle the starter switches. Disengage the starter switches once the engines are running.

    8. Toggle the recognition lights and the tail light. If needed, toggle the runway lights and landing lights.

    9. Disengage the parking brake and prop feathering control buttons and throttle up.

    Final note

Note that due to the high amount of paint blocks and detail, this aircraft may cause lag on some lower end systems and might not be suitable for large multiplayer servers.

If you find bugs or have any questions about the aircraft, feel free to DM me on Discord (ArcticShark#9752)

Please respect the time and effort I put into this vehicle by not reuploading it. This also goes about custom/modified versions.

It's a very well decorated car. This thing does not fly, I've spent four hours trying to get it off the ground, it starts, it moves, and it loves to go screaming down the runway and smack into whatever is at the end. It does not fly.

So like, is there a manual or something that tells me how to take off without the whole spontaneous combustion bit?

I think.... i did something wrong. I never got off the ground... and both engines caught fire at the same time. So uh... at least I know that it drives along the ground good... until the engines blow up.

@Lazerhawk I suggest reading my previous comment on here, I don't give a shit. No point in updating anything if it will break next update anyway

Flying like a brick ,even waiting for the maximum revs it does not exceed 29 knots at take off with headwind, unusable.
