Description
Welcome to a small mod made in the current absence of a unique spell for the Wood Elves, while I'm sure this will be added within the eventual Wood Elf rework, thought I'd try my hand at it.

The mod consists of adding the lore of Athel Loren to a Spellsinger of which you can use within both custom battle and campaign, recruitable from the same building as the others.

Spell List:
  • The Hidden Path - Speed and missile resist for one unit.
  • Ariel's Blessing - Like Earthblood, overcast gives physical resist.
  • Fury of the Forest - Ever felt like conjuring up a patch of trees to protect your units and damage enemies, well now you can, kind of, the way the composite scenes are currently made means I couldn't really keep the animations going, instead adding a delay between each instance of the scene appearing, meaning it will look like the animation is constantly going, but if you have a look, it'll go away and come back within the same second. Overcast version only for the protection aura, make sure you units are inside the AOE when it starts for them to receive the buff, vortex won't damage them but will damage enemies, best way to use this (Since it won't work if the unit is in melee) is to do it before an enemy charge, or on your archers to protect them from missile fire and cavalry (Also slows down units).
  • The Twilight Host - Ward save and cause fear, overcast to also cause terror.
  • Tree Singing - Summons Dryads, overcast Tree Kin. (Only two uses).
  • The Call of the Hunt - Increased weapon damage, MA, and imbues discouraged (-8 Leadership), - 10 MD, overcast AOE.

If you do update this for the new DLC, is replacing Shield of Thorns from Ariel's spells with one of these possible to do?
It irritates me that she shares spells with the one unit she and her husband both buff, and Zoats and Branchwraiths get it too, CA really wants me to use Shield of Thorns.

Slight issue I noticed, but you can't take a mount in campaign.

I see too many people assuming ward save is balanced spell, it is not. Ward save is not a spell in vanilla for a good reason. It is the most powerful type of protection in the game and reserved only for legendary lords and very few exceptions like grail knights in campaign. Here's the power scale for protection attributes in order from weakest to strongest; 1.Melee defence (dodge chance attribute) 2. Physical resist, magic resist, missile resist (self-explanatory). 3. Armor (percent decrease against everything but Armor piercing attacks. 5. Ward save (protection against everything in percent without exception).

Update:

-Dyads and Treekin from the Tree Singing spell now degrade over time like other summonable units.
