Star Wars Ships Legacy

Description
This is the NSC2 compatible version that was pushed to the Star Wars Ships 2.6.X branch on 14th Janurary 2020.

This will turn into the NSC2 branch of sw ships. Expect a 2.6 version in the coming months. I only make these mods because I want to play the mod I created exactly how I created it, which meant leaving NSC2 behind.

I'll make sure the NSC2 version still works but it wont get any new models, textures, weapon locators turrets etc.
I simply don't care.

I care about the non NSC2 version as its what *I* want to play. I never made these mods for any reason other than wanting to play stellaris with star wars ships, I have been given the opptunity to share it work the world so I have.
To modders:
If someone wants to make an NSC2 patch for the non NSC2 version that gets the new turrets and textures etc, by all means go ahead, provided you under no surcomstances redistrubute the Mesh files and textures. dotAssets files, Everything in the "common" folder are all fair game.

This would be quite doable, the way i'm giving out the custom ship classes is done by a technology event at the start of the game, it would be possible to modify the event to not give out the technologyies, to remove the modifications i make to the base games to make it balanced with the mod, just copy the vanilla files into your patch and as long as its lower on the list than the sw ships mod it will override them.

If someone does this well, try contact me, I'll link to the patch.

Same problem

I appear to have found an odd bug that only effects the carrier classes of not just this shipset, but quite a few others as well wherein the game loads unnecessary models for the carrier, either having bits poking out of it from (presumably) other ship sections, or the model just doubles outright
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

@Larabee I am working on a fix for the republic ships and also adjusting the size of the ships make them match vanilla ships a bit better. It is mostly for personal use but if possible I'd like permission to post publicly for those that want to enjoy this version. Tho I dont use NSC2 so its only an adjustment for the regular classes. Let me know your thoughts on this, thanks!

As far as I can tell everything still works fine with it for anyone wondering

Anyone know why the ships are so tiny compared to vanilla shipsets?

Hello there, I hope you'll read this message since I see you haven't received new comments in a while.
Anyway I just wanted you to know that I'm still playing this mod and as far as I can tell it work perfectly fine with 3.0

You know what it would be ecstatic? Having Imperial ships as a replacer for the "Imperial Armada" of Nemesis, so you can play with republican ships and then swith to imperial when you go full Palpatine.

Just my 2 cents.

Have a great day and keep up the good work.

@larabee Why is this mod Unlisted and is it possible to List it again since its better than the new one with the whole being compatible to NSC2 no offense

since it does work in 2.8.1 and isn't the full overhaul thing that gets in the way of having other shipsets in the game without balance issues, would it be possible to relist it? if not don't worry about it, thanks for providing this mod!
