Description
Caudron G.3 (1:1 Scale)

The Caudron G.3 was a single-engined French biplane built by Caudron in late 1913, widely used in World War I as a reconnaissance aircraft and trainer.

The aircraft had a short crew nacelle, with a single engine in the nose of the nacelle, and an open tailboom truss. It was of sesquiplane layout, and used wing warping for lateral control, although this was replaced by conventional ailerons fitted on the upper wing in late production aircraft. Usually, the G.3 was not armed, although sometimes light machine guns and small bombs were fitted.

DESCRIPTION & FEATURES

I built this from my previous Fokker Dr.I Triplane, controls are almost identical. Caudron G.3 has also passenger seat in front of the pilot. Engine power deliberately halved while RPS is around 7. It's still considerably faster than real life Caudron G.3, because it's not feasible to takeoff with this kind of airplane at 50 km/h in Stormworks without magic.

PILOT'S MANUAL
1. Magnetos ON
2. Throttle Increase
3. Starter (Hold until RPMs are above 120)
4. Takeoff (Engine is weak for the sake of realism, don't try to climb before gaining some speed.)

@jshmccanna,

Bleriot XI is one of my favourite pioneer era airplane but there's not much point for building it in Stormworks other than showcase. Especially because I built several airplanes of that era already. Wright Flyer on the other hand is more like glider than useful plane.

Sorry for late answer btw.
