Description
Have you ever been to one of those university art museums? 'Goodnight' is a 5 Capture Point map that accidentally creates that feeling, as this is my second published map ever that involved more experimenting with texturing and changing up map geometry.

This map is a small, cozy little treat with some added verticality and traveling from last time I made something.

If you have any notes on how this map might be broken, go ahead and leave them in the comments after giving it a playthrough. I will probably be making an Attack/Defend variant that I will link once this is updated fully.

Change notes:
(Version 2)
-Geometry adjusted for breathing room.
-Vent doors work now. For some reason having a lip of -2 caused them to stop working.
-Some glass at midpoint changed so that it's not as confusing to tell if an enemy is behind a wall.
-Got rid of some dev textures that were left over.
-There's a grassy 'outside' now
-Railings for base point have been raised, and some added clipping boxes for smoother play space.
-Teleporter placement mats!
-Environmental soundscape
-Some Lighting tweaks
-Optimization; changing some unseen textures to nodraw and changing some missed minor brushes to func_details
-...And even more things I might have forgotten!

(After Playtest Notes)
The map is too small, simple as that. Texturing needs some work since some glass was invisible, and textures for floors ended up being wall textures somehow. nobuild areas on ramps have been removed, as well as getting rid of the vent. [IMG] Vent will be replaced by a bigger flank hall next to the second spawn door. There should not be flanks that let you bypass points, so I should probably get rid of the flank under midpoint. Make sure RED team points are on the left of the HUD, and BLU points are on the right so the animation syncs up, this means BLU point's entity index value needs to start at 0 and RED needs to start at 4. Spawn doors speed was set to 500, but perhaps the trigger areas needed to be bigger. Points need to be farther apart. And no, I will not seal the map besides using big cube! :P

After one last update to fix all that, this will be archived. I don't have any ideas for actual gameplay maps, so for now I don't know what to start over on just yet. Thanks to everyone who at least helped playtest over at tf2maps.net! I hope to make and share more enjoyable maps in the future, as well as continue to help others with theirs.

We have a dedicated server and I could just extract the map and host it that way. However by not being able to host it via a workshop link using the below command, you won't have any control on pushing updates to the server, I would have to upload every version you push manually when available.

Thank you for the tip! Do you think manually changing the upper case G on your end would help? I know this map is old but I can try to update it.

Actually, wait a minute. The project and map file I initially worked on uses a lower case G in the file name, so maybe I'm just really bad at compiling somehow... :V I'll change the workshop name to see if that somehow fixes something, but I doubt it will.

I've not had any experience trying to host private servers for maps, or how you could set one up to be dedicated. I'm shocked valve doesn't have a pier-to-pier option for playing with friends, even with the "Make a Server" button in the main menu. If you could also tell me how you manage to connect with your friends on other maps, that would be cool.

Hosting this map locally or publicly via direct workshop link doesn't seem to work for me and a friend. Feel free to test it yourself by doing `map workshop/2073276742'. I could extract the map to test it but you wouldn't be able to push updates to the server that way. It might not like the capital G in your map name.
