Instructions
POSTING "My Title" and reposting published crosshairs will be hidden as incompatible.
  • Create a square PNG file using any paint program
  • Resolution range is 10x10 to 1280x720 , but usually square
  • Copy PNG files into CrossHairs folder in Blood and Bacon
  • Run Blood and Bacon and navigate to workshop menu
  • Build your custom LOADOUT using your PNG files

First Things First

Create your crosshair PNG files using any paint program (must be PNG with the .png extension lower case). Using a PNG will allow you to have transparency built in your crosshair PNG. Size should be anywhere from 50x50 to fullscreen at 1280x720. Place your PNG files in the "CrossHairs" folder inside Blood and Bacon. The game will only load in about 20, but I like to create an ignored folder inside the CrossHairs folder and place extra ones there.

*If the folder does not exist either create it yourself, or run Blood and Bacon to create it. Also probably a good idea to have Admin privileges.
Enter The Workshop
Click on the Hammer workshop icon from the Main Menu inside Blood and Bacon, this will bring you to the workshop menu. You should hear a sound effect, of a hammer bashing and a few things will happen that you don't need to know about.
Custom And Subscribed Crosshairs
Click on the CUSTOM or SUBSCRIBED button. This will populate the LOWER image bar with your crosshairs found locally or from your subscribed mods. There might be a small delay as it loads in the content. If you have no subscriptions you will need to go to the workshop page for Blood and Bacon and pick a few mods. Also the SUBSCRIBED button will give you the option to go there if you have zero subscriptions.

Clicking on any image from the LOWER bar will TRANSFER that crosshair mod to the LOADOUT UPPER image bar (Depending on which slot you have highlighted thats where it will go and it will replace the one in there ). Click on everything.......

*note : Subscribed preview images may look different than the actual mod. You should TEST your crosshair mods before PUBLISHing them.

Click the little RED BOX to remove an item from your LOADOUT, The LOWER bar can hold up to 20 crosshairs and clicking the side arrows will let you scroll through them. Click on any item from the LOWER bar to transfer it to the LOADOUT.

Now you are ready to see them in game, configure your Keyboard Bindings first, but the default key is the (OEMplus key or + key) to cycle through your new crosshairs in game. You can also use the chatbox command :cross to cycle through them. The original crosshair will always be part of the cycle.

Publishing Your Own Mod

Select your crosshair from the LOADOUT , either slot #1 #2 or #3. You really should TEST your crosshair mod before publishing it !!!!

As long as you are online, clicking the PUBLISH button will open up the PUBLISH window. The crosshair that was highlighted from the LOADOUT bar will be used. There are a lot of things you can edit here so have fun.

Do not worry about messing up, you can delete and edit the MOD from you workshop items page on your profile. Make sure to click on the preview image, from here you can resize, reset and scale the crosshair preview. Also click on the colored buttons to change the background color and add an angled watermark if you want. This example has a green banner with medium gray background. Click on everything.

  • Name and Description
  • Add a Watermark Banner (ex. DICE)
  • Choose visibility Public Private or Friends Only
  • Choose your TAG (ex. funny)
  • Click the COLORED buttons

After you press PUBLISH the screen will close (but all the details will be saved so don't worry you will not have to retype everything). And the WORKSHOP window will show a flashing UPLOAD BUTTON while it uploads to steam workshop. This may take a few minutes, and will come back as DONE or FAIL. If it fails hopefully it gives you a good reason.

Technically you do not need to wait for the upload to finish, but you SHOULD. Personally I have tried playing the game while uploading and it still worked.
In Game

Pressing the default key (OEMplus or + Key) will cycle through your LOADOUT. Open the wallet with ESC key and bind your keys to another setting if you like. Yes I set my to the Left Mouse Button for some reason.

There are a lot of ideas for using this crosshair MOD, have fun with it. Try fullscreen AR mods, picture frame mods, minimal or invisible mods, screen covering mods with dirt or blood, blacked out binocular mods, elegant minimal crosshairs, funny crosshairs, mods made for day , night or boss fights. Mods with your signature on it, etc.....push the limit.
