Rise of an Empire

Description
This is the ❝ℝ𝕚𝕤𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕒𝕟 𝔼𝕞𝕡𝕚𝕣𝕖❝ a complete conversion of the eighth game of the Total War series, focused not only on a bluer immersion in the campaign, but also on providing the player with the most reliable representation of the wars of the era of antiquity. Tactical as well as strategic AI have been completely redesigned to provide a more immersive and challenging Total War: Rome II experience. But this is not only a mod for balance, as it might seem at first glance. The new interface and new loading screens, as well as the vibrant nature and magnificent units - simply cannot but please the eye.

    Re-worked Mechanics:
  • Combat rules (kv_rules)
  • Rebalancing tactical and strategic AI
  • Rebalancing unit sizes depending on the types of units
  • More significant gap between large and small fractions
  • 4 hourglass turns per year
  • Depletion of enemy territory (+ winter depletion)
  • Rebalancing the recruitment of units (up to 7 -mi slots)
  • Rare units of units are tied to certain factions
  • Limitation on the number of armies and agents (+ rebalancing of experience points and increasing rank)
  • Rebalancing the movement range of armies and agents
  • Strengthening garrisons for all factions
  • Bloodier battle animation
  • Rebalancing morale units on the battlefield (elite units are more resilient)
  • Rebalancing the range and damage of throwing projectiles
  • Restoring the balance of fatigue
  • Different depths of building units depending on the types of units
  • Changed the stats of melee weapons, armor and shields
  • Piercing pole weapons have bonus damage against cavalry and elephants
  • Bladed weapons have bonus damage against infantry
  • Slashing weapons have a bonus to armor penetration
  • Increased damage from the cavalry charge
  • Doubles the amount of men per unit eg: 160 = 320 on Ultra, on Large 240
  • New interface and new loading screens, and more.
  • Grand Campaign only

this mod is visually awesome, good choice og graphics mods and such. The battles seem fast paced and not all that challenging to me, but maybe thats just me. I will repeat though the two criticisms i se most often here: the diplomacy is weird (although i think i know why, it bares strong resemblance to Cyanides easy Diplomacy) Also, the mechanic that armies lose men to depletion in enemy territory right of the bat is overkill. A few men here and there to desertion i could understand, but losing as many in one turn as one would lose to winter or to disease is a tad immersion breaking, especially when trying to land troops by sea, in which case they cant move for a whole turn afterwards (which is new to this mod i guess, as i have never had that happen in Radious or vanilla)

aw man! I saw this and it looks awesome but then read it's a 4 turns per year mod. Nevermind I guess, I'll just have to switch to that then!

@Menumorut loving this mod, keep up the good work! But I do have to agree with @The Anvil of Gaming on their first point, Diplomacy is a bit wonky, the AI does break and remake agreements on an almost consistent basis, and that would be my only issue. Thank you for listening.
