MetroPed: modular metro stations with pedestrian tunnel access
8 items
Description
Compatible with CS 1.13.0-f8 (Sunset Harbor)
  • 2 platforms (-18m)
  • pedestrian tunnel connections (-12m, -18m)
  • works alone or combined with other MetroPed stations, creating metro hubs.
  • size on ground = 1x1, empty square.
  • Placement is RoadSide
  • template used is vanilla Metro Station, scaled 0.001. Almost double stats, less noise

You have to do this
  • Draw missing ped tunnels to connect platforms. See screenshot 4. If I draw them in asset editor, several pink connections break.
  • Link at least one connection point to surface. Ped path, for now.
  • Embrace the anarchy way sometimes. Building Anarchy, Road Anarchy etc.

Recommended placement method
Not mandatory, but it's better than level land in the middle of your city.
  • find empty land, level it very very very flat, draw a road and place the station
  • check the pink connections. The station has to look like in the screenshot with correct/wrong placement
  • use Move It and export/import or just move it

MetroPed Hubs
  • place 2 stations and link them with ped tunnels. Go to surface with at least one ped tunnel...duh...
  • use Move It to create MetroPed Hubs with stations at different levels. Rotate, go deep etc.

I hope you like it. An use it. And rate it!

Is this compatible with MOM? I'm using your metro station all over my city and I'm thinking if I'm going to install MOM mod.

I can send you a photo of approximate subway transitions, as in Russia. Moscow even has the oldest crossings of the late 30s. There are ordinary concrete and with awnings, beautiful.

Ok, it's confirmed the problem with entrances. After 3 hours of drawing one pink path and one tunnel 20000 times. Let's say I can place it on ground, ingame, without breaking the connection (which is almost impossible and import/export with Move it doesn't work, it's breaking the connection) If it's only a pink path linked to a ped tunnel, the pink path works only one way. Exit from tunnel to loose end of path. This didn't happen when I first made them, in 2017. So...I'll try the most stupid and imbecile designs, something will work eventually. Like linking 100 paths with 1 tunnel...or something...

The funny thing is I can make a secondary entrance for a metro station. Create asset with ped tunnel from surface to pink path underground, at metro height. Place ingame the asset above metro station with the loose end of the pink path directly on platform. Cims go from surface to metro station, entering ped tunnel and exit pink path on platform:steamhappy:

Everything worked perfectly, those transitions were beautiful. Oh well. And new individual surface exits can be made. To put your station and arrange several exits. So that part of the people could leave the head of the metro in one direction, and others from the tail in the other. It would be great. Or put several exits on the square from the subway.

I was tired of people comments: not working not working not working. Useless assets, workshop clutter. And yes, I can't rework them because they do not work anymore. I tried several weeks. That's why I did not designed ped connections for metro stations at -8m, because I can't use pink paths anymore for entrances. So, minimum connection -12m, connect directly with ped tunnel.

Why did you remove the underground passages to connect with the stations? There were three types of transitions. Can I even make the underpasses with stairs to the new version? And then vanilla is not beautiful

It's posted on 16.04.2020, 3 weeks after SH release. I modified description, to be clear.
