Cold War Naval Battles

Description
As the official website of the game says:

Cold War Naval Battles was originally published as Modern Naval Battles, a series of three boxed card games for two to six players based on (then) present day sea power with an emphasis on action. It was introduced in the late 1980s by 3W, Inc. of Cambria, California.

The rights to the game's design have long since reverted back to designer Dan Verssen, and Rodger B. MacGowan has always retained the rights to the graphic design. Meanwhile, Alan Emrich, who did the development work and co-designed the series, continued to receive email from its many fans asking if copies could still be obtained (even though it was long out of print).

In their quest for good gaming karma, Dan, Rodger, and Alan agreed that they would re-release the game, renamed (more accurately) Cold War Naval Battles, as a free download for personal use only (i.e., not for resale) on the internet. It is their hope that the fans of this wonderful game series will continue to find hours of enjoyment in it well into the future.

This workshop represents the tabletop version of print and play game created by their authors. Is my first work in tabletop simulator and for sure that things can be done better, I have tried to make a version adapted to the environment of Tabletop.

Very functional with the player place mats for creating custom tables of 2 - 6 players with separated expansion decks to be integrated in to the base game. Well done.

Great! In two days I have learned a lot about TTS :steamhappy:

A second friend told me that all works.

I think that suggestions are better in discussions, aren't it?

I changed my firewall and uninstalled the AV over the past few hours. I got it to work but now that you made changes I'm not sure if I or you, or both of us fixed it.

Let's see if Ozzie_Warrior is successful.

Where would you like suggestions? Here in Comments or under Discussion?

OK guys,

I have been working this afternoon and I have checked a lot of things to try to solve the problem. Here are the resume:

1) Seeing the links that you posted, I realized that the files that you report errors were files that I had deleted and changed by new ones with equal resolution but less file size. I don't know why the med don't update the files (possibly by my error). Nevertheless, If i click in the links that you posted I can see in the web browser the file, so Tabletop preserves a copy of it.

2) For that reason, I have deleted the TABLE, the TOKENS and the QUICKREFGUIDE from the mod, and I created again with the new images uploaded to the cloud. (I have downloaded the mod with the TTS MOD BACKUP tool and seeing the json file I have checked that the links of the images are correct)

3) I have added the CWNB III expansion with new ships deck

See the post below

4) If despite of all things, you still having problems, I have uploaded the .ttsmod file of the actual mod with two expansions and ALL the images (checked by me) in the following link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cqzMsHY-FHiJP45fwBaUSIxE9c3ClYs0/view?usp=sharing

So I hope that with all these things, now you can download the mod. If you still having problems when download the mod from TTS (not from google drive) I strongly recommend that check the following posts that I had posted in previews comments because I think that the antivirus or firewall are blocking you

theBishop,
i have use the TTS Mod Backup too and the software dowload everything without errors. i think that your problem and OzzieWarrior is with firewalls, antivirus or something like that. See the post below.

I don't know exactly haw the TTS Mod Back tool works. if I do the backup create one file, if I upload this file to googledrive or similar you can use it to install the mod?

As I can't use my laptop now I am googleing a solution. I have see the following posts because some people are having the same problem in other mods. Please check it.

A friend told me that he can open the mod without problems, me too (but I'm the author). When I click in the address of the images that causes errors to you I can it open without problems in the web browser, so the images are there in the cloud. So perhaps the antivirus, firewall or something are blocking you.

One question. When you click in the link below an image of a Token1 appears in the browser? Because when I click in my smartphone it works, the image is threre. Is to try to understand what is happening.l
I think that all the problem comes because I change the images directly in the cloud for a new ones with the same name but with better resolution. But then I deleted the original token, quickguide and table and created again with the address of the image in cloud. But it seems that cause problems. Perhaps the solution is change the name of the images and do it again from the local files that i have.
For that reason was my recomendation of delete all the mod from your computer and subscribe again, to download all from zero.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the problems I am having. As I said is my first workshop and I don't understand exactly how the upload of the content works. I think that I do the things correctly but obviusly is not the case.
i am going to try to solve it, for sure.
When I do a change in the mod, then I go to the UPDATE tab, put the ID of the workshop and click in upload. TTS then start the update and finally tells me that all finished without errors.
My next step is going to delete all the images from the cloud and create again the objects from local files uploaded again to cloud and see.
This morning is impossible, cause my daughter has my laptop in use for her school class (covid19 situation) so be patient.
Sorry again, I hope to find the solution and in the meanwhile try to find more detailed guides of TTS in the web.
I has the CWNB III expansion in a 50% that has a lot of reinforcments ships and is a pitty that all this work does't has its reward
