A request to strengthen the navy of the Marine Nationale in line with modern standards has been passed down from high command. Quickly putting designs to the test, a state of the art warship with full frontal assault in mind was laid down and pressed into service. Finally ready for action, the fast battleship Richelieu is truly a sight to behold! No fewer than 12 forward facing Hawkeye Mk3 Battleship Cannons, 8 of which reside in 2 quadruple gun turrets, a long and mid range missile defense system incorporating many Hawkeye Cruise and Seeker Missile systems, an AAA battery, and heavy rear armaments in the form of Venture Rapid Cannons!

Being a fast battleship, Richelieu will make in excess of 80 mph and she possesses superb maneuverability and general handling characteristics. Like the Iowa, some battery capacity has been sacrificed for the sake of speed, however protection is still very tough, and a higher flank speed means she will be able to respond to threats quickly and effectively as you continue your crusade across the planet!

Able to conquer any terrain due to her maximum cruising height of 95 feet, Richelieu meets the golden standard for a truly versatile hover-dreadnought and adheres to her role of flagship well. Like Rodney, her main battery is concentrated in forward turrets. Due to the usage of the battleship cannon; however, Richelieu can do a lot more damage than Rodney in a single shot, with many bow-chaser missile pods able to put in a finishing blow to anything that resists the might of your conquest!

A pricier ship compared to Hood and Nelson at $6.1M BB, Richelieu offers more in the way of sheer power and speed as opposed to the more stalwart nature of ships like Rodney and Bismarck, as her mission is designed around “get in, get out, and leave a trail of annihilation in her wake”! An awesome ship from an awesome nation, this vessel of the Marine Nationale will be ready at the call to support her allies whenever needed, or to take the fight directly to the enemy if you should so choose.
