Fast Equipment (2024 Winter's Feast)

Description
Adds buttons over the inventory that give a fast access to the best main tools, weapons, armors, helmets and light resources. Besides optionally adds keybinds for the mentioned tools.

List of changes:
  • Some fixes for latest game update
  • Work fine with glass and garden tools, sea fishing rod and slingshot. Added items from all last content updates (Return of them, From beyond, etc.)
  • Now you will not be able to get an empty light source (like miner hat) if you have one working, but with a lower priority! Press the light source button twice (T by default) if suddenly your lantern goes out, but you have a backup torch. I will be glad if this change saves someone's life
  • The lazy explorer is now in the cane category
  • Magiluminescence added to the light sources category with the lowest priority
  • Full F1-F12 and Numpad buttons support
  • Full modifier (Ctrl, Alt, Shift) buttons support
  • Added an extra long-range weapon button, you can disable it in settings menu
  • You can move toolbars as you want
  • Some rework for Hammer and Pitchfork buttons

Works only with "Separated" settings of your Backpack Layout (look it in game settings)!

@M1A1 приоритет предметов всегда внизу) Я сам до недавних пор про это не задумывался, пока не скрафтил кротокуляры и понял что мне не нравится, что они одеваются вместо фонаря) Да, они лучше чем фонарь, но кротокуляры беречь надо) И в то же время я понимаю, что кому-то может быть удобнее по-другому. Кстати насчет совместимости с другими модами, не пробовали "KnownModIndex" использовать? По сути можно и без переключателя в modinfo обойтись.

@Danzo , привет, да я делал подобное для теста. Основная проблема в том что многие не могут найти кнопку совместимости с Extra Equip Slot, а тут 3 страницы настроек. Такое нагромождение нельзя выпускать в народ, просто не поймут, увы. Я попробую на неделе сделать внутриигровое меню настроек, как дополнительный бонус - настройки на лету можно будет менять. Просто удивительно что этот функционал так затребован

@M1A1 В общем доделал полностью. Префабы полностью локализовал на русском и английском. И настройки тоже полностью перевел. Единственное из-за проблем русификатора (пока не работает локализация модов в modinfo.lua), русский пока не будет отображаться по умолчанию, но когда его авторы его пофиксят, всё будет работать. Но можно включить вручную, изменив одну переменную в файле. И еще я не локализовал несколько префабов из модов, ибо не знаю откуда они. https://imgur.com/a/pt7H3HB

Можно будет отключать каждый предмет в списке. Также можно добавить локализацию для каждого предмета, вместо названия префаба. Написал маленькую функцию с использованием циклов, чтобы не прописывать один и тот же код миллион раз. И да, очень не хватает выпадающих меню, выглядело всё бы куда лучше и удобнее.

Hi there, the fastest thing you can do right now is open \SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\322330\2049905964 , open the file "modmain.lua" and edit the arrays in it in lines 93, 121, 142, 151, 159, 165, 171, 185, 190, 196, 215 and 249. It's clear by the name which array is responsible for what. I was thinking about the possibility of making array editing in the mod settings, but the standard Mod API does not allow you to create beautiful drop-down lists or something else in the settings menu, and I now consider making a separate menu inside the game (as in the Insight or Geometric Placement mods) redundant

I tried to have this functionality by using this mod and an other one ( Save Equipment Slots ).
But even after many hours trying to figure how to make both work like I would like, I forfeit, it was just a big mess, and the other mod make thing even harder each time I drop/take or swap a weapon or anything.

If you think that it could be interesting enought to be considered for a future update, it would be amazing.
And thanks for all your work, updating the original mod, and sharing the result with us. :meepstarry:

It could be very interesting with Lightning too, when you doesn't want to have the Moggels hat as 1st choice.

From my point of view (the easy position as player and not moder :/), I have 2 possibility in mind who could work well, maybe the best would be both at the same time ?

1- In the mod Settings, give the possibility to choose a specific priority order for some item, regarding the item chosen by default, for Weapons and Lightning stuff. (maybe it can interesting for something else? No idea yet).

2- The possibly to set 2 key, one to put an item in the blacklist, and one to remove with-list it.

Hi, is there a way to black list some item for being selected ?
Or maybe some rules that we can set in the mod settings ?

I'm asking this because, for example:
- I doesn't want to take my Hambat in hand when I'm using the weapon key when the freshness is low, and make it deal lower damage than something else I have in inventory.
I could drop it, yes, but it's an infinite use weapon who can still be used for more damage than the walking cane x)

Therei s some other case like when I'm playing Wormwood and doesn't want to have the BatBat in hand because I'm already Full Life.
Maybe it would require too much work to make the mod checking our actual Life before choosing BatBat has first choice, or with other condition, I don't know.

But just being able to have a key to blacklist it for the weapons slot, and so the shortcut, of this mod would be really interesting.
And when I need, I just equip the BatBat the old way.

Hello, @Nucktrooper , this is not a bug, I just didn’t expect that someone would use hotkeys in this way. There should be one slot to use as a "buffer" to simulate moving an item with the mouse (original game logic). I could use the “mouse cursor” slot as a buffer, but it can also contain other items + when playing with a gamepad this slot is not available. Regarding the idea of automation - definitely no as part of this mod update, but I’ll think about a companion mod, I would like such functionality myself
