There is a new edition of Doomtown coming! Doomtown: Weird West Edition will be coming to Kickstarter August 19th. Read full details here: https://pineboxentertainment.com/2021/07/01/announcing-doomtown-weird-west-edition/

As part of this launch, there will be an official online client for Doomtown, called Doomtown Online. You can preview it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-xCQayfvCE

Because Doomtown Online will the official way to play and enjoy Doomtown online, when it launches in August, this mod will be removed from the Workshop.
*END ANNOUNCEMENT*

Doomtown lives again. Pinebox Entertainment has resurrected the game and it is better than ever. This mod includes all existing cards for Doomtown. Huge huge thanks to Blargg, who did most of the heavy lifting on the automation present so far in this mod and deserves most of the credit. The base of the rest of this mod is based on Doomtown Reloaded- Proper by PIxxel Wizzard and those that came before him. I plan on keeping it up to date, and will be adding features over time.

The rulebook and rules compendium are in the game on the deck building table, just right click them and choose "Pop out" to open them in a large reading format.

This mod includes an automated deck builder. There are brief instructions on the board, but basically you find the decklist you want on dtdb.co (or build it yourself I suppose) and export it as plain text. Then trim out any header lines and blank lines so that it is only a list of cards like this:

Law Dogs
1x Abram Grothe* (Base Set)
3x Hired Guns (Base Set)
1x Baird's Build and Loan (Double Dealin')
1x Blake Ranch (Base Set)
2x California Tax Office (Faith and Fear)
1x Circle M Ranch (Base Set)
1x Cooke's Nightcap (The Light Shineth)
1x Jackson's Strike (Base Set)
1x Pat's Perch (Base Set)
1x The Pharmacy (Base Set)

etc.

Then paste the list into the text field on the slate and click the "Build Deck" button. This will create your deck in two piles. The main pile is most of your deck, the second pile is your home and starting posse. Click the button for the type of joker you want in the deck, combine the piles, and then right-click your deck and "Save Object" to save it for later use.

Check out the announcement above, but essentially, in August this mod goes away because Doomtown Online will be live!

@SpaceMarineCMDR try this link: https://discordapp.com/invite/HPEBGGV

This page also has some good resources for learning to play: https://pineboxentertainment.com/learn-to-play/

So this is random but what is the link to the discord sever again? The link listed below failed for me. We recently purchased a real copy of this game and found the game a bit confusing to learn. That is coming from someone who has learned games such as gloomhaven, warhmamer 40k, X-Wing, ect. I was curious if anyone in the discord server could possibly help me learn the ropes so I can in return teach my mates to try and enjoy this product. As of know we have just stuck it on the shelf and not played it since.

New player here. Could we have an option to use the original board? It really helps with movements.

Are you talking about the magnet points? I put those in to make it easier to lay out your deeds. If you don't like them, click the magnet tool and then left click each of the green orbs to remove them.

One more thing, on blue and opposite sides there are two hidden rows, to which the cards adjust and stick. Cannot find a way to disable/move them, can you please instruct?

Thanks for the responses, I appreciate it, Did not know about the smaller tokens, will use those from now on.

@Thalaseus As far as automating more things, I'm looking into it. I could make a stash control panel or something that had +/-1 and +/-5 buttons for ghost rock I guess. The other option is you could just add a digital counter into the game for yourself and keep track that way. Also, in case you didn't know, you can deal yourself ghost rock in the same way as cards (hover over the ghost rock bag, hit a numeral and receive that many all at once) then group them all (select all ghost rock in hand and hit g) and drop them as a stack. That's a fairly quick way to do it without dragging everything individually.
