ServerPerks Code: TraderInventory=4:KFPPSHMut.PPSHPickup

Background:

Ammo: This was easy, you can look it up anywhere. In the PPSh-41 Drum, it holds 71 bullets. 1 loaded, and 70 in the drum.

Fire Rate:
using wikipedia, i found that the MP7 shoots at 950 Rounds Per Minute (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP7)
and that the PPSh-41 shoots at a rate of 900 RPM (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PPSh-41)
using this we divide 900 by 950 giving us .9
in UnrealScript, the lower the FireRate, the faster the gun fires.
The code for the MP7M is FireRate=0.063000
because lower is higher, we need to multiply by 1.1, not .9, so 0.063x1.1=0.0693
And there you have it

Damage:
This was probably the hardest. After a bit of research, i found out that the energy of bullets are measured in joules. The PPSh-41 uses the 7.62x25mm Tokarev, and in the article you can see it says "The cartridge has an average muzzle velocity of around 442 metres per second (1,450 ft/s), and has about 544 joules (401 ft·lbf) of energy."

Ok so average 544 joules for the PPSh-41

The MP7 shoots 4.6x30mm.
Taken straight from the Wikipedia article on 4.6x30mm bullets, here is what it says
"velocity/energy at 0 m: 600 m/s / 468 Joule
velocity/energy at 100 m: 463 m/s / 279 Joule"

On point blank, it still doesnt even have close to the AVERAGE joules of a PPSh round. Based on this, the PPSh does about twice the damage of a round fired from an MP7.

And there you have it.

@ForeskinJohn, I'm not sure if you still need this model, but I want to make a better model of the PPSH-41

The pic shows it using a regular magazine, but in the game it uses drum.

How do I get this to work?
I subscribed and It says the ppsh mod is loaded when I start the game in the uper right corner, but It's not in the menu at the trader. Not under any class. What am i doing wrong? It's not in the mutator list so i assume it just loads itself?

the 544 joule "average" for the 7.62 is an average for different loadings. So that's its muzzle energy, not the average over its flight. For realism (and balance...) the PPSh should do (544J/468J= 1.16) 16% more damage than the MP7M. I'd probably recommend looking at the damages of other smgs as well, to make sure the MP7M isn't especially weak because it's a medic gun or something.

drum mag

just wondering does this gun use the drum mag or a standard box style mag? its kinda hard to tell from the pic and the real gun could come with either style mag. if no drum can you maybe make a version with the drum mag as i personally think it makes the gun look a lot nicer then the standard box style
