!!!-----THIS BLUEPRINT NEEDS SCRIPTS TO WORK-----!!!
Before loading a world, first go to advanced options and make sure "allow in game scripts" is toggled on.

-----BASIC INTRODUCTION-----

The latest compact fighter design to be made for the USSF for use on their carriers. This ultra-fast, light-weight fighter can easily be deployed in combat situations with use of Artificial Mass launcher. Also unique to the F/A-81 is the ability to be easily stowed away in a carrier hull by folding all its wings and vertical stabilizers up into a neat configuration. This fighter was primarily designed to be used in space dogfights but designs were made to equip the F/A-81 with limited atmospheric flight capabilities.

This fighter was made with the intended use of a high-speed rapid deployment gravity launcher to intercept enemy fighters. Its strengths include its 5 forward facing gatling guns and it's 4 reloadable rocket launchers fixed to a rapid-fire sequence.


-----NOTES ON HOW TO OPERATE-----

This ship uses scripts to fly and function. Because of this, you need to have in-game scripts option turned 'on'.

  • 1. If you wish to fold or unfold the wings at any time simply press the #4 key on the main toolbar to do this. This will not activate the artificial mass blocks at this time.

  • 2. When unfolding the wings and stabilizers it's recommended that you don't subject the fighter to any high-g maneuvers while doing so. But in all tests runs done before the final production no issues were discovered when doing this under extreme conditions.

  • 3. When wishing to land or connect to a connector to resupply and restock, please use the sequenced timer block on the main toolbar, hot-keyed to #8.

  • 4. When ready to take-off from any surface, you don't need to disengage the landing gear locks manually. Simply press the #8 key on the main toolbar and the landing gear locks will automatically disengage and raise up as well as switching the connector locks.

  • 5. When launching the fighter with the use of a Gravity Assist Launcher, use the #9 key on the main toolbar to activate the gravity assist launch sequence. This will toggle the artificial mass blocks on and then count down for the wings to unfold automatically, then toggle the artificial mass blocks off again. It's recommended that when doing this the wings should already be in the 'folded up' position.

-----KEYPAD FUNCTIONS-----

When climbing into the pilot seat there is a set of controls available to control and fly the craft. Here's a list of the number key and it's corresponding function.

Lol, it's all good. Nice ship btw, I modded it for extra guns and added a black-red paintjob and its terrifying frontside. :)

@corporate tax evasion it's the inside of the carrier that I've been retro fitting. It's not complete yet but I hope to finish it sometime this century.

meh only for show because its multigrid and you can't print it. not survival ready.. its mainly for creative play and we all know creative is a bit pointless for survival, right?

@Ascendant_ I looked into it, it seems that Keen did something to the rotor and hinge functions where the rotor reaches 0 degrees, it doesn't remember which direction it should go when reversed. I have to figure out a way to counteract this confusion with the rotors.

@RaidenDerpy so interesting thing, I downloaded the ship and played around with it, its great. But the wing folding isn't functioning properly. The left main wing just folds downwards instead of downwards and out. Also when enabling the "5" hotkey, it isn't able to be disabled afterward. Any suggestions?
