Description:

The Gnevny Class was effectively designed around being able to carry and produce the F-41 Javelin, using the interceptors to keep enemy fighters and ships away from itself and its allies.
Meanwhile, it would make use of its torpedo launchers to cripple slow ships and stationairy targets.
While not designed for close combat, the Gnevny can still fight at close range due to an armored bow reinforced by welders.
Its torpedoes are experimental, and make use of beacons. These beacons would, in theory, allow the round to keep flying even when no players are around, allowing for shots at extreme ranges.
They are also meant to shatter on impact, increasing the area of effect.
The torpedos are launched via gravity generators, and are "smart" as well. They will turn of their artificial masses once they are 50 meters away from the launcher, so gravity shields are useless against them.
Otherwise, she still carries nine gatling turrets, two missile turrets, three rocket launchers, and six interior turrets in case something comes within 800 meters.

It only needs a crew of one to be operational, but more crew members are appreciated in case it carries non-drone fighters.
While specifically made to carry the Javelin, its hangars can carry any fighter that fits inside a 6x3x2 area, and the connector ports are easily modified if they don't line up.
If the fighter can fit inside a 6x3x2 area, the Gnevny can even print it in its bow mounted printer.
Even though it only requires a single crew member, the Gnevny can carry up to fourteen crew, divided over eight cryo chambers and six beds. It also has a pair of seats for extra passengers during jumps.
A fair amount of hydrogen tanks means it will always have fuel available, both for itself and its fighters, and a large amount of cargo containers allow it carry the materials necessary to produce fighters and torpedoes.
It also comes equipped with a refinery with four efficiency modules, as well as two assemblers which both have one efficiency module and three speed modules. It also has eleven O2 generators in case more hydrogen or oxygen needs to be produced.

The Gnevny is the first ship class that is part of the new Versatile Fleet Initiative, which will consist of ships of all major classes (e.g. Destroyers, Light, Heavy, and Battlecruisers, Battleships and Carriers) that are capable of carrying and producing their own fighters, as well as being used in their preferred roles.
These fighters will be standardised across all classes, in order to maximize ease of production.

Features:

  • Survival Ready: conveyors are all connected.
  • Four gravity torpedo launchers.
  • 6x3x2 small grid printer that's partially automated.
  • Two rotor turrets with two rocket launchers each, and four rotor turrets with eight gatlings each.
  • Nine gatling turrets, two missile turrets and eight interior turrets on the outside, as well as three rocket launchers on the bow.
  • Four 6x3x2 hangars for small grid ships, primarily the F-41 Javelin.
  • Printer can serve as a hardened self-repairing bow during close quarters engagements.
  • 800 meter turret radar.
  • Uses a mix of hydrogen and ion thrusters, and has thrusters hidden inside the hull without the need to turn thruster damage off.
  • Full production capacity: Two assemblers and a refinery with modules.
  • Eight cryo pods for pilots, and a further six beds for crewmembers.
  • Jump distance of around 1000km (unloaded).
  • Cleaned up terminal and hotbars.

Specifications:

  • Blocks - Main Grid: 3,416
  • Blocks - With Subgrids: 3,498
  • PCU - Main Grid: 34,695
  • PCU - With Subgrids: 35,877
  • Mass - Unloaded: 4,927,607 kg
  • Airtight: Partially, Bridge and Crew Quarters are pressurised, the remainder of the ship is not.

Dimensions:
  • Length: 127.5 Meters.
  • Width: 55 Meters.
  • Height: 32.5 Meters.

Usage:
  • Role: Supplemental aircraft carrier, long range torpedo support.
  • Area of Operation: Space, Moons with up to 0.25g's of gravity.

Other:
  • By default, all the non-missile welders are turned on and the printer's hangar doors are closed.
  • The ship has a timer named "Printer Defence Override". Triggering this timer will turn the printer's projector off, the printer's welders on and the printer's hangar doors will close.
  • The printer was made specifically to print the Javelin and its (currently unreleased) derivatives. It should be able to print other ships as well, but know that that might require some messing around with the printer's rotors.
  • Activating the torpedo launchers will start a timer that will turn them off again after 5 minutes.
  • When the torpedo launchers are active, turning the torpedo merge blocks on will cause them to reload. Turning them off will launch them.
  • Try to launch the torpedoes when motionless or when moving in a straight line. When moving in a given direction, only launch the torpedoes on the opposite side (Going left, launch Stbd torps. Going down, launch upper torps. Etc.)
  • Wasteland DLC was used, but isn't necessary to function.
