Description
Bring pain upon your enemy with the fighting game cult classic character, Mii Brawler! Featuring all 12 special moves from Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Mii Brawler possesses quick movement and a fast, flashy combo game, in addition to trademark special moves such as Suplex, Soaring Axe Kick, and Helicopter Kick.

General

Mii Brawler is a fast rushdown fighter who specializes in dealing devastating damage - if he can get in. Powerful combo options such as neutral air, down tilt, and forward air, and deadly kill moves such as back air, up smash, and several of his special moves, allow Mii Brawler to be a constant threat at close-range.

In addition, Mii Brawler carries over Smash Bros style B-reversing for certain moves. With Shotput, the charge of Ultimate Uppercut, and Burning Drop Kick, pressing the opposite direction after the move starts will turn you around and reverse all horizontal momentum.

Special Selection Menu

This is Mii Brawler's Special Selection Menu. It is accessible on the character select screen. The player may select any combination of four moves by pressing up, right, or down. Each input will select the special move in that row, in the order of Nspecial, Fspecial, Uspecial, Dspecial. For example, if you want to select Shotput, Suplex, Helicopter Kick, and Feint Jump, you would input Up, Down, Right, Right. In Practice Mode, the menu will be accessible at any time by using your taunt, allowing you to easily experiment with many combinations of moves to find the set that you like the most.

Here is some information on all Special moves:

Neutral Specials

  1. Shotput - Throw a powerful iron ball in an arc forward. Strong, but loses strength after each bounce, disappearing after hitting the ground 3 times. Mii Brawler's only projectile. Can be B-reversed.
  2. Ultimate Uppercut - Charge up a powerful punch that can be stored for use later. The charge progresses in 3 phases, noted by the color of Mii Brawler's fist as he charges. Only the fully charged Uppercut is stronger. Different levels of the uncharged Uppercut have the same strength as an uncharged one. The charge may be canceled with a dodge or jump. Can be B-reversed.
  3. Explosive Sidekick - Mii Brawler charges up a kick so strong, it'll set the world on fire. Or at least his leg. A slow attack, but packs quite a punch if you can land it. Pressing backwards during the charge will have Mii Brawler turn around and deliver the kick in the opposite direction. Mii Brawler has armor during the kick.

Forward Specials

  1. Onslaught - Mii Brawler rushes forward with a knee strike. If it hits, he rends the foe with flurry of strikes, ending in a kick that launches upwards. Real gamers go for the hidden spike.
  2. Burning Drop Kick - Leap forward with a fiery drop kick, bouncing off an enemy if you hit them. Although not very strong, the speed and range make it a useful burst option and recovery. The landing can be ledge-canceled. Can be B-reversed. B-reversing BDK actually increases its distance forwards.
  3. Suplex - Lunge forward with a grab, and if it connects, leap upwards with the foe and suplex them behind you. Although lacking kill power, Suplex comes out relatively fast and deals massive damage. Depending on their percent, the opponent may break free after falling a certain distance.

Up Specials

  1. Soaring Axe Kick - A leaping kick upwards with surprisingly solid range. Pressing special a second time will initiate a drop downwards, spiking foes down with you. If you land, the final landing hitbox will launch them away. After falling for a (very) long time, pressing jump or dodge will let you cancel the descent.
  2. Helicopter Kick - Mii Brawler drags the opponent along with a series of spinning kicks. Holding forward or backwards will alter your movement. Capable of killing very early depending on how deep you're willing to go offstage.
  3. Thrust Uppercut - A quick multi-hitting punch upwards. Not the greatest recovery, but comes out quite fast and is very powerful when used high up near the blast zone.

Down Specials

  1. Headache Maker - Jump forwards before slamming your fists downwards. This move has strong knockback at the start of the slam, and spikes during the later parts of it. It also has a weak landing hitbox. You can press special a second time top make Mii Brawler start the slam earlier. This move can also be used as a recovery.
  2. Feint Jump - Mii Brawler leaps into the air, which has a few frames of invincibility at the start, and pressing special again will cause Mii Brawler to use a strong descending kick. Despite the heavy landing lag on the kick, Feint Jump has much utility as a movement option and offensive tool, as the landing can be edge-cancelled. Holding down during the jump will let you drop through platforms. The kick can be aimed forwards or backwards. Launches aerial opponents at a sharper angle than grounded ones.
  3. Counter Throw - Mii Brawler stances up, bracing for incoming attacks. If a physical attack hits, Mii Brawler will counter by grabbing the opponent and throwing them behind him. The counter does not trigger against projectiles.

Other
You can angle ftilt by holding up or down during the startup of the attack but I'm gonna be honest when I say there isn't much of a reason. It does slightly change the hitbox, KB, launch angle, and damage though.

Mii Brawler contains supports for:
  • Abyss Runes
  • Toon Link Pictograph
  • Miiverse Stage
  • The Chosen One's Art

This thing works really well! The only thing he needs now is a final smash for the final smash buddy.

SMASHES THE WHAT?

Yeah head on assault is pretty op in smash anyway.

Yes, I changed it in a recent update since I was pretty unhappy with Head-On Assault. I just didn't think it fit well with Rivals and it was difficult to strike a balance between connecting well onstage, and killing too easily offstage. So I thought Headache Maker from Smash 4 would be more interesting.

I ended up kinda unhappy with it too though, so there's a chance I change it back someday (maybe).

Wasn't headache maker originally head-on assault where he kicks someone into the air and slams them into the ground?

For runes, what does "he comes with great wrath..." mean?

that would make more sense; i was just basing it off what ive observed in my relatively few hours of playtime

Parrystun time is usually universal on normals, I believe. Although it applies after endlag, so a move with high endlag will give you a bit more time to punish. Either way though, I think Mii Brawler fstrong should be able to punish a parried opponent, although it's pretty slow so you would need to do it without too much delay.

Fufu, i think part of the problem is the move that was parried. weak moves give very few parry frames
