Description
Whether you're unhappy that your custom character is stuck with Dome of Protection or you'd just prefer a different origin skill than the one you've got, this mod has a solution for you! Now with the option to rehash your racial skills too!

Book of Origins provides the player with a book, that when read, allows you to select what your Origin skill and Racial skill should be out of the 7 and 5 total skills respectively. You may also select your racial talents such as Corpse Eater and Ancestral Knowledge.

I've renamed 'Summon Ifan's Soul Wolf' to 'Summon Soul Wolf' to fit other characters now, but this is purely a cosmetic change. Any mod you might have altering the actual skill will be unaffected.

Can be installed mid-game with no hassle, as it's just adding a book to your characters. It has no weight and no monetary value so it shouldn't be a bother to be in your inventory. Store it in a bag if you don't want to look at it.

Norbyte Script Extender
To circumvent an issue with the game not showing talents specific to other races in the talent menu, I needed to modify the UI. This is only possible using the Norbyte Script Extender. This mod is functional without it, but to see for example Corpse Eater on a Lizard, you would need the extender.

I'm having an issue where every time you equip an item to your character, it gives you your original racial talents and skills, but you also keep the ones you used the Book of Origin to have. Anyone else having this issue, or know how to fix it?

I'm having a problem. I'm trying to give Red Prince the dwarven Sturdy trait using the book. But after I use the book and check the talents, both Sturdy and Sophisticated are gone. Are you familiar with this?

@Davinator This mod currently does not affect the mechanics of Undead healing, and probably doesn't fit with this mod's goals. That would fit more under a combat rebalance, or a small standalone mod.

@frasdoge I'm looking for anything that can revert the undead setting of healing from poison/damage from heals (to basically make undeads heal like normal humans and take damage from poison), and this is the closest thing to it I've found. Is there any way that could be implemented with changing racial stats?

actually rolling back to before we did that, it still happens so...fun, time to track down what didn't change but is suddenly broken!

a friend and I used this as undead, and we now take damage from poison despite resistance being 200%?

@frasdoge it seems to have stopped the issue! Thank you so much!

@Myfi Just as an added thing in case this pops up with other mods - you can grab your local mod files in your documents folder under Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods and give the .pak to your GOG friends. Haven't kept on top of that in a long time.
