MV Scotland Road

Description
MISSION VERSION HERE: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2024932003

Thank you to members of the Stormworks Discord for helping me with some of the more advanced issues!

---------------------
Changelog:

3/17/20: Bow is now smoothed out, as others have mentioned. Shape now looks more natural. Stern slightly modified.

------------------

The MV Scotland Road is a travelling vessel built by Carnival Cunard Line in the late 2020s as an homage to the ships of the White Star and Cunard era. Named after a piece of the famed Titanic, the Scotland Road takes to the seas, hoping in some way to carry on the legacy of her predecessors!

------------------------

This is my second creation with some hopeful improvements from the HB Royale (which is still undergoing reconstruction). As seen here, the design is based off that of the White Star Line ships and ships of that era, specifically Titanic and the Empress of Ireland (though loosely). Many areas that were originally explorable have now been cut off and act as extra compartments for buoyancy's sake.

The ship is pretty stable, so hopefully you won't endure constant or severe capsizing as you sail.

Here are the features of the Scotland Road:

- 13 watertight compartments
- A fully fledged pump system
- A separate bow and stern scuttle
- 2 explorable decks
- 8 lifeboats
- 6 emergency flares

The ship's current fastest speed is 5.84 M/S, or about 11 knots. I am still tweaking the system in order to hopefully bump that up to almost 20 knots.

When scuttling, the ship will sink fast at first and then slow as the affected compartments fill. A series of fluid ports will mimic natural flooding, but is meant to replicate a ventilation system across the ship. The pumps are able to pump out water at a fast rate, but scuttling the ship floods these compartments faster than the pumps can work. In the event of an iceberg collision or megalodon attack, you should be able to pump out the floodwater, or at least slow it enough to return to shore.

The ship is capable of floating with up to 3 compartments flooded, but it seems any more than that will leave you unable to save the ship. Once enough water has entered the ship to pull the bridge under, it will be too late to act.

Scotland Road is now equipped with 6 emergency flares that can be used to send out a distress signal in the event you are in danger.

In case the name of this ship sounds familiar: Scotland Road was the name of a large section of E-Deck on board the Titanic. It's believed the flooding of Scotland Road increased the speed of the sinking.

For better clarification on some features (which I hadn't noticed until I read the comments, apologies):

1. The scuttle buttons are located in the Crew Only room on A-Deck, in the room beside the pump room.

2. In order to load this ship, you will need this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/stormworksbuildandrescue/mods/1
