TIP: How to get the best out of ACG
Try to minimize the amount of other mods you use with ACG => check out the features of ACG and then look if you really need all those other mods that you previously wanted to add to your playlist with ACG. One of the most common mistakes i see is that people use a lot of unnecessary mods that only cause issues. Also make sure to only use mods that are listed as compatible here: 🛠️ Compatibility Thread.

TIP: Watching Space Battles
This mod's cinematic features shine even more when using slow speed during watching Space Battles. Try it out.

Introduction
This mod is the successor mod of Aesthetic Cinematic Graphics. I am basically working on ACG almost since vanilla but just decided to make the first ACG mod public in early 2019 to share how i personally like to enjoy playing stellaris.

Combined with my old ACG mod (which works as foundation for this mod) i have spent 3000+ hours on working on this mod by now (ACG contains more than 270 folders and 10'000 files). Graphical finetuning + Performance improvements alone took hundreds of hours and the time and thoughts that i spent on this mod is just growing because i continue improving and working on this mod constantly.

Nonetheless it's very important to note that this mod is by no means my work alone. I have built this mod upon a lot of feedback of users and many ideas and content of other great modders - reworked and refined it to fit into my personal taste. Without such a great community and helpful modders this mod would never have been possible.

About this mod
This mod is built on 4 pillars:

1. Immersive, Cinematic Graphics
2. Improved Performance
3. New Content
4. Better Balance and Progression


Graphics will be more realistic and cinematic with significant performance improvements included. Only added new content that the AI can use properly. High focus on a well-balanced and smooth gameplay progression. Nothing really overpowered is added with this mod.

There are many graphic and content mods on the workshop but most of them are focused around one single aspect of the game. By restricting yourself on one aspect of the game the risk of causing imbalance, bugs or inconsistencies increases dramatically with each mod you add to your mod's list. This mod tries to avoid that by offering one consistent graphical overhaul incl. new balanced, performance adjusted content.

Got it, no worries man i understand you are trying to fulfill your vision for the mod and are going to change things over time, its just a personal preference thing, im not a big fan of a lot of the changes that IBS makes and just wanted that look that the mod used to have, its not a big deal. Big fan of the mod regardless.

if you mean the border and empire graphics incl. hyperlane visibility features, then the hyperlane visibility became unnecessary once Stellaris included hyperlane menu options itself and the border graphics have been removed in order to provide better compatibility with other mods like IBS. if i remember right then this was done when i basically also switched to using immersive beautiful stellaris (IBS) together with ACG.

so long story short: if you can't find what you are looking for within ACG or within any ACG submod then i am afraid those things have been removed over time. i hope for your understanding :)

ACG is evolving over time. most of the time new things will be added to the mod. that said, sometimes i remove things when i feel like some aspects are not considered to be a core feature of ACG anymore or if i feel like other mods can provide a better experience on those features and if i also feel like this step would improve compatibility with other mods.

i don't know exactly what you are referring to. but maybe you mean some old ACG galaxy icons that i used for starbases and so on? if you mean those, then i did remove them over time because i wasn't fully satisfied with how they looked and i wanted to spend my time on working and improving other things.

Hey brother, how do I make the mod look like it does in your galaxy view screenshot, I think at one point I had like that a long time ago and now I cant seem to do it, I think it looks miles better than IBS.

if you check out the 📌 FAQ / Addon Patches / Legacy Versions you will find a mod called bring back system orbit lines. this mod will remove jump gates if i remember right. have fun

update using the jump gate mod to find the files i was able to remove them and it works perfectly. is there a way to make a sub mod that keeps it that way between updates?

weird question but is there any way to disable the jump gates at the edge of systems with a sub mod or can i just go into the main mod and delete a file?
