Campus Trade Pear Tree

Description
Campus Trade Pear Tree - by Spear1222

Struggling to beef up that university campus attraction score?

Don't want to spoil the aesthetic look of your lovely campus by placing twenty-odd of the same (#2) statue?

Then try a tiny, 1x1 tile fruit tree instead. Here is the Pear Tree, made to fit into the itsy-bitsy spaces of the Trade College Campus. This tree has the same Campus Attraction value as the Number 2 Statue, (Base 100 before multiplyiers.) and by no means looks repetitively silly when placing plenty about the campus to beef up that attraction score.

And, hey, if you're all about giving your uni students the Free Lunch Policy, then give them a free fruit dessert as well. Just one pluck away from the goodness! So tell those students they can pluck right off... Ahem.

Found in game in the specific campus type it enhances.

Snaps to both roadways and pathways within the specific campus area.

See second picture above for more details on the asset's other default stats.

Says I need Prestigious to unlock this...? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of it? https://imgur.com/xfEKwdO

I scrapped all previous cities that were in the works. My current city is only at a population just over 5,000. I'm not in a position to test it yet, but I'll be happy to do so when I'm ready for them. It may be awhile because I detail as I build, making the process very slow. I'm not quick to act. I'm thoughtful about what I'm doing and that take time.

@LemonsterOG, can I ask you if you are having any issues placing single or multiples of these trees? I'm getting reports on the orange tree version that they are now locked off by tier rules, and can only be placed if uni campus is at highest tier, thus defeating the purpose of these trees. Wondering if there has been a patch change to stop the somewhat cheaty nature of placing multiple statues/trees to force higher attraction boosting. My current snow city is nowhere near ready for uni placements, and my older complete city has no problems placing many - though all uni campuses are par excellence anyhow, so nothing to be learned there. So perhaps you can help me with feedback on this reported issue?

Now that makes sense. I understand now. I wonder why they would be so different.

Thanks for taking the time to walk me through it. I like to understand how things work, so that's why I'm so inquisitive.

Using same tool and methods to make each, - a new empty park 1x1, place relevant campus statue, shrink it to invisible proportions, place tree type, set it as relevant campus statue, save it. done - There would not have been anything different done to one, that was not done to the others. I'm sure if the three campus statues themselves were examined on file size, that's where you would find the biggest differences showing, depending on how much more detailed one is from the others, much more so than the slighter differences each tree would have from each other when added to the final file size.

Thanks for replying. I'm still confused by the difference in file size. Is it an issue with compiling? They should all be about the same size. I'm just confused, that's all.

Sorry for the late reply @LemonsterOG. I've been off modding TS4 in my dark cave. For each tree to work in each respective uni campus, I made them the exact same way. By taking the uni statue of that specific campus type and shrinking it down to sub atomic proportions, then plonking the normal-sized, chosen fruit tree on top. Such that it keeps all the characteristics of the campus statue, - because that's exactly what it is - but looks like a tree because that's less repetitive and stupid-looking - from a player's perspective - than placing multiples of the campus statues. So the increase in files size would be most relative to the file size of the original campus statue objects, plus whatever the files size of each tree is.

I love this idea! Question: Why is this one (pear tree) only about 3mb but the apple and orange trees are almost 9mb?
